DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM EDWIN NOVEL JEWELERS! THEY ARE CROOKS AND I HAVE THE EMAILS TO PROVE IT. JOHNSON AND JESSICA WERE SCANDALOUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I JUST RETURNED A $2000 ORDER SO WE WILL SEE IF I GET MY FULL REFUND LIKE THE POLICY STATES. IF YOU READ MY REVIEW TRUST ME DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE. THE PLATINUM BAND LOOKS LIKE NICKEL AND THE DIAMOND IS DECENT BUT THE RING LOOKS ABSOLUTELY UGLY AND NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS ON THERE WEBSITE AND ON TOP OF IT ALL I PUNCHED IN THE EXACT SAME SPECS AS THE RING I BOUGHT AND ITS $600-$700 CHEAPER. 100% RIP OFF AND SCAM ARTISTS.

Do not buy from this company. Customer service is great…until something goes wrong. Which is sort of the point of customer service. Back story breakdown (attention to addresses at the time of incidents); -purchased ring 12/19/18 for proposal New Years. Was told over phone that shouldn’t be an issue. At the time I was working abroad in Texas while my family lived in Georgia as my fiance was still serving in the military. I had ordered the ring to be shipped to Texas because obviously I did not want her to receive the ring in the mail. -received an email on 12/24/18 that with regret the order would not be ready due to holiday. (Understandable) -Eventually I was able to propose Valentine’s Day. Ring was exactly as ordered. -02/20/20 ring was sent in for service as the band snapped while my fiancé was cleaning. They explained it was because it was a thin band. They took care of the issue with no problems. This was while we were living in Georgia and shipped it from Georgia and received ring back in Georgia. No issue. -Then 06/28/2021 the ring broke again in a different location of the band. Still no issue with customer service. We shipped the ring from Florida which had been our residence for a year by then. The address on the shipping was our current address. -Waited for the ring, followed up and Edwin Novel had shipped the ring to our old address in Georgia. There was no phone call or email verification and clearly when they received the ring no one annotated the name and address. Well here is where the problem came in…. THEY ACCUSED US OF SCAMMING THEM AND THAT IT WAS OUR FAULT THERE WERE SO MANY ADDRESSES RECORDED AND THAT THIS WAS LIKELY A TACTIC!!! WHAT!? After a series of extremely rude and sarcastic phone calls AND EMAILS from Mr.Johnson in customer service we finally received an email from Mr.Johnson stating our insurance claim was approved on 1/12/22. Oh, and best part…here was Mr.Johnson’s exact verbiage from an email from the senior supervisor in customer service management…and i quote; “Because of this claim, our insurance company had cancelled our policy after paying this one out. FedEx initially denied the claim. We could have left it that way and said, "oh well," but we didn't. Your statements and accusations are wrong.” We have yet to receive a check. 3 weeks ago an assistant in customer service stated Mr.Johnson said he would have us a confirmation of shipment of the check. No check. No confirmation or tracking number. And Mr.Johnson is evading email and telephone calls. Mr.Johnson is a terrible representative to be placed in charge of problem resolution. If Mr.Johnson is indicative of how this company is operated, I would not be surprised if Edwin Novel was investigated for insurance fraud. As a result of these actions we have been left with no other option than to sue Edwin Novel in small claims court. In addition we will be utilizing every platform available to prevent others from trusting such an important moment of your life to a company of this caliber. This whole process has been an entire nightmare. For 9 months my fiancé has not been able to wear a ring and we don’t have the refund as promised to purchase a new one. Either someone is lying or someone is keeping published checks from the insurance company. It does not take 3 months to mail an approved insurance claim. Order Number: JBN20101227

I purchased a set of diamond earrings for a friend who is currently a cancer patient. After finalizing my purchase I was contacted by a customer service rep via email stating that there was some concern about my order. So after stating to the representative that I purchased the item as a gift to lift her spirits. They informed me they were unable to send the gift to a different address after insulting me by implying I could be doing fraud after offering to provide whatever information needed to confirm I was who I said I was. The only option they were willing to offer was for me to repurchase the item via PayPal! While having to wait to be refunded for my original purchase. So I asked to just be totally refunded and never mind I no longer wanted to purchase anything from their company. I was told that I would be charged a 25% restocking fee! This whole experiencing was horrible. I've told all my friends and posted my experience on social media.

If I could give a rating of zero I would, where to start. I purchased this dogtag pendant on December 20th for a Christmas gift knowing full well I might take some time to arrive due to the holiday season. According to the website, most pieces ship out in 7-10 business days, the more entriquite pieces could take up to 3 weeks long. 2 weeks pass, then 3. I decided to touch base and get a status. I recieved an email stating due to the high volume of orders over the holidays it was going to take a little longer. Ok, no problem. 4 weeks pass, 5 weeks pass. Shoot them another email asking for status. Nothing. Shoot them another email, no response. Third email I said I better get a reaponse or I'm canceling the order. Finally they replied, the piece did not come out of casting right so they had to make a new cast, if this one worked it would go to their gemologist early the next week for diamond selection then off to the setting experts. Another week passes, shoot them another email. They replied with the exact same response. Another week passes, another email, the exact same response. At this point I call. The gal on the phone said the same thing. I told her this is unacceptable, if you can't make the thing just refund my money and I'll look at other pieces. Long story short. After over 7 weeks, I get an email last friday saying the piece has shipped and will arrive on Monday. Great but I paid for 2nd day shipping? Shoot them another email, their response was 2 business days. I'm like no, 2 day shipping is 2 day shipping, FedEx delivers 7 days a week. I decided to let it go because i was excited after all it was finally on the way. Monday the piece arrives, I open the very nice box to find a pendant and chain that looked nothing like the items pictured on their website. As you can see, the website picture has diamonds in each music note, mine has none, just holes. The chain that came with it looks nothing like the chain pictured and is a lot thinner than the chain pictured. Needless to say I'm fuming. I waited over 7 weeks for this? I Shoot them another email pointing out my disappointment, their response was, you can send it back for repair. I'm like repair, repair what? How about finishing the piece? They said send it back and we'll get the rest of the diamonds set? I'm like how do you send out a piece knowing full well it's not finished? Did they think I wouldn't notice 20 some diamonds missing? Needless to say after giving it some thought, I'm not about to waste my time dealing with these scam artistist anymore and wait probably 3, 4 or God knows how many months to finally get back a piece that may or may not be to my liking. Nope I'll eat my loss, and chalk this up as another life lesson. I absolutely would not advise anyone to deal with this company. It has been nothing but a nightmare, and from the looks of other reviews, this lack of quality and customer service is common place with this company. They'll never see another red cent from me and unfortunately my daughter is getting a subpar piece of jewelry for Christmas, two months later... Thanks Edwin Novel for nothing...
