“I chose the Eko CORE 500 for its ability to amplify sound (I have a moderate hearing loss in one ear). I've discovered that it's difficult to hear sounds through clothing, also I need to press the bell firmly against my patient's chest/back in order to hear clearly. When I get it to work correctly, the sound is great! I'm a primary care pediatric NP so I haven't needed to use the ECG feature yet. Eventually I plan to get hearing aides and I appreciate the ability to connect the stethoscope to hearing aides via Bluetooth.”

“As a. Radiologic Tech, I don't use a stethoscope often. This stethoscope works quite well, even with minimal training. I purchased the stethoscope as I am cross training for medical assistant. The audio clears cardiac and lung sounds. And with a slight hearing disability I hear everything quite well.”

“The product works very well. Amplification is suffiecient but has the same problem as my EKO Core. It amplifies EVERYTHING when I am trying to listen to a heart. By everything I mean the bedside alarms and people talking in the next room! It can generate a rhythm strip faster than the CR monitors at the bedside. I have already used it effectively during neonatal resuscitation to quickly evaluate the infant's heart rate. Link to my iPhone is also a great feature. I would give it a 5 except for the fact that I am a Neonatologist. I need one of these to be a bit smaller. As it is, it will work very well on the biggest babies. But it is much too large for the micro-premies I have to evaluate.”
