“Brews fast! The culture came well packed, strong and happy. Following the instructions (except I didn't have PH strips, so I didn't check the PH, I just trusted that it was acidic enough), I brewed up a batch. The jun brewed FAST! In like 4 days in my 68F degree house and it was alreadt ready for a second ferment. Caution! Burp the second ferment twice per day! I burped the second ferment the next morning after bottling. The next morning, it was so fizzy, it overflowed when I tried to burp it! I'm used to normal kombucha, which takes much longer to brew. Very happy with the culture. I would order again.”
“Great Customer Service Update: The seller has great customer service and sent a replacement item, which was of high quality and worked perfectly.I copied another users review as it almost exactly describes my own experience with the Jun Kombucha Starter Culture....Not sure if its the cold weather and shipping, but I had no luck with this scoby. It was nicely packaged with an expiry date, but I had no luck growing a new scoby from this (and the batch eventually molded). I followed instructions to a T and, while Im new to Jun, Im not new to Kombucha. The scoby looked great, but failed to perform.”
