“Beautiful scoby with pleasant smell Beautiful jun scoby. I live outside the USA and I got it today, and I immediately prepared my first batch of Jun. I'm so excited. After the first fermentation, I will add more information to my review. Before buying it, I spoke with the seller about the time it would take to reach my hands, he clarified my doubts and so I bought it without hesitation. I am very happy and I hope that after the first fermentation, I will much more happy.”
“Kombucha in one week! The instructions were easy to follow, but make sure you have a one gallon jar available and enough bottles. The entire process from start to finish was about 10 days, after which I had yummy jun kombucha. I dont bother with adding flavors, because I like the plain kombucha as is.”
“Great experience using as 1st time and beginning users. We have purchased Kombucha at local grocers for a while. We decided to start making our own Kombucha allowing us to be more flexible with flavors. This Jun Kombucha starter has worked very well for us. Will definitely purchase again in future.”
“Makes really good June after the second batch I purchased this product after losing one of my Jun Scobies that I received from a friend a long time ago.I used the product in accordance with the instructions on the packaging and it doesnt make very much as I have a 2 1/2 gallon vessel and this only makes a 1 gallon of product. I made my first batch and then after the one week fermentation. I made another batch but doubled it according to the recipe and made 2 gallons of product.** Overall this product from this manufacture is very good. Ive also ordered their kombucha Scobies as well and have had great success with those too; great product”
“So good! Use cheap honey. Jun Kombucha is the best, and the SCOBY is thriving! I was worried, as I got my last SCOBY from a smaller operation, that it would be weak or sickly, and while the SCOBY was small, it still made decent Jun on the first batch. The 3rd or 4th went to vinegar because life got in the way, but I think that actually helped it get settled in, because the most recent batch I made is so good I didnt even add fruit! The one note Id offer is that the packaging says to use raw honey, and I always use the cheapest I can find (usually bulk from Costco, but sometimes I find it cheaper). As long as its actual honey from a bee it will work, and Ive been told in the past not to use raw honey, because the different good bacteria dont get along. Since its on the package Im assuming that these SCOBYs will do fine with raw, but dont feel like you have to.I do use a decent green tea, but even that isnt top of the line, because Im poor, haha.”
