“I was very excited to get my Apollo Explore. It took several months on a waitlist (3-4) but I have now had my Explore for 8 months:
The good:
-It's fast
- the charge lasts a decent amount of time (1 charge 1x a week and I ride it 5-6 days a week about 2 miles each trip)
The bad:
- It doesn't fold once you get it up (i had a 250 lb man try with no luck) - customer service...no help..
- customer service is non-existent. They take several days to respond and when they do there is an attitude with little information provided.
- There has been a metallic grinding sound in the wheels since unboxing (FFR customer service could not help, I sent them multiple emails and they gave no explanation)
- The front brakes went completely out after 2 months (again fluid free ride was no help with resolving this nor did their YouTube videos). So now I'm riding around with 1 brake and the item is still under warranty.
- The handle bars get fixed into place if you don't lower them constantly
Conclusion: If you don't mind lugging around 50+ lbs in a non-folding, non-braking scooter...that's your call. For $1500 you can get a far better performing and quality scooter from a company with better customer service elsewhere. Save your money and do your research. I had high hopes for this scooter but my hard earned money could have been spent in a better product and company with reputable customer service.”
“The shipping was fast, arrived on 3rd after order was placed. The Apollo Explore is definitely a head turner as I zip to work. It's good to know I have the power to hit 30 mph and the long battery life . Definitely recommend. One very happy customer.”
“I absolutely love my new Apollo explore !!! It doesn't everything I need !!! The one thing is the front rotor keeps tinging when going over bumps but I live with it as I know my rotor is tight on there. This scooter is amazing !!!! 30 miles and going !!!”
“Summary:
* Very fast and powerful. At the top end of torquey-ness for a single motor scooter.
* Good range, and performance doesn't drop off until battery is critically low.
* Stable and handles very well up to its max speed of 30 mph.
* Ride quality is decent. The stock tires are 10x3, which is as big as it gets for this price/weight class. Suspension is 'OK', not as good as Vsett 9 or Inokim Quick 4 though.
* Relatively low weight for its combination of power, range, and features.
* Plenty of videos on youtube on maintenance tasks.
* FluidFreeRide provided very good service for the issues I encountered.
Issues:
* The front brakes have been finicky since day 0. No matter how much adjustment I make, the rotor rubs against the brake pads and makes an pinging sound. The brakes also squeal loudly when engaged.
* The trigger failed after 80 miles. FFR sent a replacement free of charge, and paid for it to be installed at a local shop.”
