APOLLO Explore Reviews

4.6 Rating 286 Reviews
The explore is a great quality scooter, and probably powerful enough for most people (major upgrade from gotrax G4) however after one short ride it left me desiring more power so I ended up ordering a Kaabo Mantis v2 (I want something with some torque, but still water resistant so I didn't want the pro, pro does not come with an IP rating). My recommendation is if you like to go fast just go ahead and buy the faster scooter right away (whichever one you prefer) you can always turn down the speed in the settings. Then you can gradually bring the speed back up as you get comfortable. The guys at fluid free ride accepted the return on the explore no problem, so that was great! So far nothing but good things to say about these guys! Excitedly waiting on the mantis to show up!

This is a very well built scooter. I really like how easy it is to fold, unfold and transport. Worth the price.

I started with the cheaper brands from other carriers and worked my way up; my first foray into legitimately good scooters was the Horizon - I put a ton of miles on it and loved so much about it, but eventually needed something heftier with more range and power. I chose the Apollo Explore for a number of reasons, the flood of good reviews being a strong factor along with the specs - and boy was I in for a treat. First, I need to say that for me, all of the brake components needed adjustments right out the gate - but the tutorial from fluidfreeride made them a breeze and caused all of the various mechanisms feel much safer on the road. On the major, major, major plus side, everything rocks! The speed is exhilarating and safe with the brake adjustments and gets me everywhere FAST. The range is wild - I can ride to and from work multiple times, do some food deliveries in between and only have to charge once every couple of days. The lights at night are beautiful and amazing - although for safety I would recommend at least an add-on headlight as the low facing ones that come with it are not super bright. The suspension makes bumps feel like they're not there - seriously - and I'm riding throughout a busy city with tons of potholes and it's a non-issue. For the price, the range and overall sturdiness make me feel like a force to be reckoned with on the road. Fluidfreeride has always offered such excellent customer service that I know I'm in good hands if I hit any snags. I know for a fact I will never go with another company for anything scooter related. The Apollo Explore simply rocks and you couldn't get it from a better carrier!

The scooter has a lot of battery power and can go a long distance too. But I had trouble out of the box folding it. It still won't really fold properly. I also tried to replace an inner tube on the rear tire and found it very tedious and difficult. The design is okay but could be sturdier. There is a lot of play in the stem of the scooter. Overall it's pretty decent for the price but I may not recommend to a friend

Great scooter for the price range. Incredibly smooth and powerful. I take mine on the NJ Transit over ground train and it's a TAD bulky for that (I consider myself 'physically strong' and still find it a bit hard to move around a lot). For most people i would recommend the Apollo City if you're carrying it around on any transit system. I would not recommend this scooter for folding and taking on bus rides or the NYC subway system (you would have to fold it up and/or take it up/down multiple stairs). But for my use-case, the extra weight and size for the Explore is an acceptable tradeoff for increased power and range.

Just get a ride and go , there's nothing like it and there's little investment. You'll never regret going with any pev (personal electric vehicle) but I love the explore the most for some reason, also not a bot a real person

Love this scooter, perfect for my commute. Only downside is after I set it up and unfolded it, I can't get it to fold again. I'm sure mine is likely an isolated issue. Overall, great scooter and fairly priced
