“On the first and only day I tried my new scooter, it has failed to excelerate beyond 5mph and the motor is making a humming noise. I contacted your email address and was provided a representative by the name of Mary who advised me to send a video of the problems my scooter was having. I indicated to Mary that I didn't have time to submit videos about what is evident with this new scooter. I have not heard back and I am very disappointed and that I cannot get better service for an item that I just purchased for over 500 dollars. If we cannot agree to replace this scooter for a new one, I would like to return it and be fully reimbursed. Very disappointing.”
Hi Nathaniel - We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Please note that, in order to process a return for a replacement or refund, we need to troubleshoot and confirm the issue. The best way to do this is by requesting a short video describing the issues. Thank you for your cooperation in the process. We sent the return label yesterday and will ship your replacement unit once we receive the original unit at our facilities. BR
“On asphalt, the ride is smooth. No issues. For semi-steep climbs, it can struggle pretty hard if you don't build up momentum first. For steeper climbs, it will get you most of the way (assuming built up momentum), but you'll need to finish it on foot. This isn't too terrible an issue where I live, but keep this in mind.
The ride on asphalt is where the wheels begin to show their flaw. While there is suspension in the scooter, the wheels themselves do not--they are solid rubber with no air inside. This means sidewalks with many indents and/or cracks are going to slap your lower back a little. It's not a skull massage by any means, and won't exhaust you; but it is jarring enough.
All in all, you get what you pay for, and I mean that positively. If where you live has bike lanes or traffic is used to pedestrian crossings, then this scooter is perfectly fine for commuting or general riding. If your only hope is a busy road where drivers won't care about you at all or the sidewalk, however, I would suggest holding off a little longer and save some more money for some of the pricier scooters with both scooter suspension and pneumatic tires. I live in the mountains, for what that's worth. Also, be sure to use the break more often than you might think when on a decline. It's very awkward at first, but eventually you learn when to both time it as well as keep the right pressure to make it smooth and avoid going too fast and losing control.”
“I received my Fluid Cityrider scooter about a week ago. It was almost completely assembled right out of the box. I only had to attached the handle bars and the brake and bell, which were both very easy to do. The scooter is smooth, fast and fun! The battery only went down to 3 bars after 3 days riding it, so good battery power. I've ridden it at full speed, (18mph), up inclines and it did great! I weigh 215 or 216 lbs., and I usually have a bag on that weighs another 5 to 10 pounds, so usually riding at a total weight on the scooter of 220 to 225lbs., and I haven't seen any decrease in range. I haven't tried to test the full range in the battery, but so far it's been fine for my purposes. I hope not to need to contact costumer service for anything, so I give it a 5 star rating at this point!”
“I have the CityRider and it's a great value scooter. This scooter feels like it should be more money than it is, I highly recommend for light / general use. I actually had a slight issue when it was delivered and the entire team at Fluid was great to deal with. Thanks for everything and I will definitely be purchasing again in the future!

“Great product. Seems to slot at the top of the "toy" category or the bottom of the "transportation" category. I saw the neighbor's teenage daughter riding one, and decided that looked like fun and I wanted one. Has plenty of power for an overweight (200 lb) adult to ride around the neighborhood without being unreasonably expensive. Like the wooden deck and the maintenance free tires and the general feel of the product.
The only criticisms I have are the bell is kind of an afterthought and chintzy, and is similar in location and feel to the throttle, and it's not obvious in the documentation that the right handlebar screws in counterclockwise. Fortunately I discovered this before stripping the threads from trying to force it in clockwise too much.”
