“Wife and I bought fluid CityRider after reviewing their spects and their competitors' spects. We bought two CityRider scooters because of: 1. Reviews from other riders, 2. the ability to reach a Customer.service rep in the U.S. and 3. price was very competitive.
Now the bad news. My wife tripped over a baby gate (we baby sit our grandkids) dislocated her shoulder had it operated on and now talks on selling our scooters.
We are 80 and 72 respectively live in Indiana and have only been able to ride them 3 times due to weather (less than a mile). The times we did get to ride we loved it.
What is value of our scooters? We bought locks and cell phone holders for each scooter. One is black and one is white.”
“Update 2/20/23: A day after this review, Adam, a manager at Fluid reached out to me and apologized for the situation and offered a replacement for the scooter in addition to an accessory free of charge for the delays in resolution.
I was really relieved that the great support that Fluid was known for really did exist although it took a little longer to get it. Adam was apologetic, polite and professional and remained in communication throughout the entire process. My wife has only used it a few times since the replacement has arrived, as of course the electric charging station our car uses is now under repairs by the facilities folks but she definitely is making use of the knee pads from the accessory gift we received when she's on the scooter. Once the charging station is repaired, she'll be back on the scooter daily and we hope this replacement will last a long time.

I had really high hopes for Fluid CityRider because of the good reviews I've seen specifically regarding the company's use of high quality materials and commitment to having word class support. My wife had wanted to get a scooter to help her get from the charging station on a college campus to her building where she worked which was roughly a mile away on the same campus. She wanted to just get any scooter on Amazon, but after my research into electric scooters, I insisted we spend a bit more and get the Fluid CityRider because of the great reviews and also their commitment to lifetime support which I thought would make great sense after a number of years and some wear and tear. The scooter arrived early January and she started using it around mid January, after a week of use my wife comes home with bloodied knees and tells me there was something wrong with the stem locking mechanism because she was riding the scooter and somehow it folded while she was riding it and she fell off injuring herself from the momentum. She had checked and locked the scooter in place when she unfolded it before the ride and she was not going fast- still on S1 mode. When I examined it the locking mechanism was not locking and I contacted support. It's been a week and there has not been any solution. I followed up a number of times but they requested more information but still no action. I feel a bit of a fool for paying for more with this scooter thinking I was purchasing quality and good support, but after a week of use, (literally!) I'm stuck with a scooter my wife can't use and no action on getting this fixed. Hopefully I can update this review with something positive, but for now it has been very disappointing.”
“Easy to operate, Love the ride with the no-flat tires...and the cruise control is awesome!
For a scooter at this price point to have a regen front wheel, cruise control, no flat tires, phone integration and a solid build quality this is the best scooter I've been able to find. Oh, and don't forget the support if it's ever needed.
I'm a believer in Fluid Free and they didn't pay me to write this review. If someone does me a solid, the least I can do is show appreciation for it.”
