“Just purchased 2 of these for my kids and I must say that they are a ton of fun to ride... I actually just purchased the WideWheel for myself to ride along with them. So far so good, seems to be built very well and at this price point I don't see how anything can compare.”
“I won a the City Rider in a giveaway and holy cow, I am blown away! My gf and I have had a blast with this scooter. So much so, that we have ordered her one for her Birthday as well! ‚≠êÔ∏è‚≠êÔ∏è‚≠êÔ∏è‚≠êÔ∏è‚≠êÔ∏è”
“This scooter is awesome. I don't know anything about electric scooters, but I do like this one a lot. After spending loads of money on the rentals over 6 months and some research on Reddit and YouTube, I decided to buy this one.
I really enjoy the turn signals and hazards, the light, and the breaking mechanism. I also like the wood look on the board. The folding aspect was very important to me, and it doesn't disappoint. Additionally, the specs say a full battery can last you 10 miles, this is pretty spot on. I took an 8.5 mile ride and it still wasn't drained!
The only downsides would be the battery life, motor capabilities, and the speedometer is in kilos (I'm in America, stylistic choice). The battery life seems to drain quickly on "gear" S2. I rode for about 15 minutes straight (I went to the wrong place) and the gauge was going in between 1 and 2 bars (out of 5). By motor capabilities, I mean how it handles hills. It goes down to 8 or 9 kmh when going on a hill. I don't live in a hilly area (there are only two small hills I can think of, and I rarely use one of them), so this isn't important for me. And the speed in kmh instead of mph isn't important to me either, it's just simple, quick math to convert.
I recommend this scooter to regular city folk that just need to get from point A to point B!”
“If you really want a quality scooter with all the bells an whistles without breaking the bank the city rider is the one to go with, I really love the feel an design of this scooter an can best any high budget scooter out there , the speed is there, the smoothe ride, the ten miles is good , now if they ever make let's say a model that can keep all the same specs an do a 20 mile range my friends u mike make the best escooter ever make !!!!! It's that good happy with this purchase”
“This seems to be a great value overall. Here are my thoughts on the key functions.
The scooter came in great condition in under 5 days.
The set-up was as simple as i could have wanted and I was riding in a matter of minutes.
The acceleration is pretty good and the top speed is close to what is advertised. I weigh about 155 lbs and have not yet been able to get above 28km or about 17.4 mph. Full throttle usually gets me between 26-28 even on the most level of ground. I do not believe I've ever seen it hit 30 even downhill. Still a perfect speed in my opinion for this little guy but I wanted to give my honest experience.
The brake is excellent, very responsive.
The build quality is excellent and everything is tight, solid, and functioning well. The look of the scooter just kind of flows. I personally love the mostly black and wooden deck.
As far as the battery, I would say that to get the full 10 miles that you would have to be going in 1st gear (about 9-10mph) as i have yet to get over 6-7 miles going at full speed before the battery goes too low. Having said that, there are many factors that go into battery range and for me the range is close enough to accurate.
The tires are exactly what they claim and will handle smooth roads beautifully and the rough roads you will feel. No surprises there.
All in all, I really do love this scooter and would buy another one or recommend to anyone in need of an inexpensive commuter scooter.
Ive only had the scooter for about a week so i will update in about 2 months and will have a much better feel on the longevity as i am using this to travel approx 7-10 miles 5-6 days out of the week.
If i get even 6 months of use I would say I definitely got my monies worth but im hoping she gives me a year!!”
