“Got the horizon scooter and had a flat-out the box. CS sent a new tube but that took another week. Scooter rides great after I had to install new tube. Wish I could get a solid tire to replace front tire. A little disappointed when iy got here.”
“Scooter feels fairly smooth even in these SC roads. It makes a bit of a noise when you accelerate that is just loud enough that I want to check into it when I have time.
Top three things I love: came with a ring bell. Came with a cool Allen wrench set! And gets me to the ~26mph that I was looking for.
Worst three: It's pretty heavy. There is no water rating so I'm nervous about committing to a daily commute with this SC weather AND pot holes. Lastly, my dad got a nasty black eye on his second ride. Wear a helmet, kids.”
“Front bearing needs to be replaced after a week of use. Replacement front wheel is out of stock and it'll take more than a month for a new one. Otherwise a fun ride.”
“I purchased my scooter on a Sunday, and it arrived on Tuesday. Fast, but I live just outside Salt Lake City where it shipped from. Easy to set up and was riding it 10 minutes after opening the box. The power would cut out to the motor at random times while riding and would not regain until I stopped for a few minutes. This continued until I reset the controls so the throttle would start from zero and I don't have to kick start. I purchased this scooter because; 1-I weigh 220 lbs. This is usually the max weight for most scooters, and the Horizon is advertised at 265 max. 2-the price was good. When I stepped onto it, the shocks completely bottom out and with a solid tire on the back, there is absolutely no suspension or bounce when riding. I feel every bump. I called to speak with a technician at Fluid. He asked me to video tape the power failure and said they have had this problem before. When I asked about the suspension not being capable of holding my weight, no solution was offered, and was told returning it would have to be paper work submitted to the managers for review, has I had opened the box and ridden it. But, how would you ever know these issues without riding it. The scooter is fast, fast enough for me, and powerful enough to pull my dog trailer I've attached. Yes, I decided to keep it. Am in the process of having a friend make/weld some brackets so I can add different suspension to the back end. Many more expensive scooters out there, and you get what you pay for. The rest of the scooter seems well made.”
“Great all around scooter has a good amount of power, weight and speed.
Would like more acceleration but this is ok considering the cost and having only a single motor.
the only weakness is the brakes first it only has one break in the rear and to add to that its a drum break which is nice because it will last longer but it has less stopping power. if you check reviews you will see how it takes much longer to stop compared to other scooters.
Overall, I easily recommend it. Just be aware of the brakes.”
“I've had my horizon scooter for over a year now. It's paid for itself at least a couple times over in money saved on parking, taxis, etc. It's really well constructed - rugged and reliable. And the company support is great. If I ever buy another scooter, it'll be from fluidfreeride.”
“I've been riding this scooter for about 1 month now and had loved it. That was until the tire valve started leaking for no reason. Of course the Warranty does not cover tires. It is disappointing to already have these issues after 100 miles.”
