“I recently upgraded to this scooter and I love it! The suspension is a great upgrade from my previous scooter and the faster speed makes my almost 4 mile commute to work a breeze. It is heavier, so going up and down stairs can be challenging if you encounter many stairs in your day to day. You can customize the position of the breaks to your comfort. My only comment is there's no bell. Overall great scooter!”
“This scooter is amazing. Exactly what i imagined when i reviewed it. Great speeds at 22-24mph at me being 185lbs, haven't drained battery to tell full range but after full charge and riding 8 miles in the city, scooter still had 4 bars of battery left. All in all great scooter for the price. One hiccup however, i noticed that the alignment on the handle bar to wheel is a little off, definitely noticeable to the eye, but not much of an issue while riding, also there is a little wiggle in handle bar. But other than that im in love with this scooter..”
“I love this scooter. I'm a casual rider. I just enjoy getting out and scooting around, and this is the perfect scooter. Great range and speed. And I'm a big rider, 275 lbs.”
“This is an awesome scooter that I highly recommend. I ride this scooter 7 miles (round trip) each day to and from work. I have given this scooter a 4 star review because it is very reliable, easy to drive, and fun. The suspension on this scooter is great. I ride in a bike lane on country roads near farmland and constantly have to go over rocks, clumps of dirt, and sticks, and I don't feel any of that transferred up through the scooter.
I have given this a 4 star review because I see a few areas of improvement that could be made to this scooter. The built in lighting is okay in town, but if you ride country roads at night in the bike lane like me, you will want to get additional front and rear lights in order to be seen. I also recommend under deck lights for additional protection. I got a cracked rear fender when I had less than 100 miles on it, it seems very flimsy. At 300 miles my speed finger controls started to go past the original end point, when this happens the scooter will drop the speed to about 18mph instead of its usual 22-23mph. I have to be very careful to not grip the finger controls too hard or will drop my speed instantly. I also want people to be aware that the top speed of 23-25mph is on a full battery and no wind. If you drop below about 60% of battery life your max speed will also be decreased. I also live in an area that gets a lot of wind, and wind in any direction seems to slow me down too.
All in all, I've been extremely happy with my Horizon! It is no longer a question of how I will get to work, this scooter is my go to option. While I would like to see some minor improvements, you're not going to find a better scooter at this price. It is so much fun knowing I get to drive this scooter everyday to work. People are constantly impressed with this scooter and how quick and nimble it is. I think everyone should highly consider using a scooter for their primary vehicle.”
“The Horizon is my second purchase from Fluidfreeride. The scooter is outstanding and so is the customer service. Excellent value compared to alternatives on the market.”
“The scooter performs well, right out of the box. It maintains 20-22mph for the life of the battery charge. i've only pushed it to 16 miles on a single charge, but the regenerative breaking seems to suggest this thing can easily travel 20 miles after about 20 charges so far. So, as far as performance, it is really great.
Two things to note, that i'd change in the design: 1. i'm about 50 pounds under the weight limit on this thing (at the heaviest ;)), and i seem to max out the rear suspension over some of the smallest pot-holes. It would be nice to tighten the rear suspension to make it a little stiffer. 2. This thing really needs a head-lamp up on the steering bar. the lights down by your feet might be okay for oncoming traffic, but traffic from side streets cannot see the lights so low and will pull out in front of you unless there are no cars, or trees, or other obstacles are in their way (which, in a city, never is the case). I've been yelled at that drivers can't see me. Other than that, pretty pleased with the purchase. It's fun, and fun to fly past all the other scooter renters who max out at about 15mph. ha!”
“Due to a visual impairment I am unable to drive a car but that doesn't mean I want to sit at home and do nothing so I was looking for options for freedom and decided to try an electric scooter. I first purchased a cheap budget scooter to get my feet wet and when I realized this new love was here to stay and not just a childhood crush, I upgraded to the horizon. It was a rocky road at first because I kept getting lousy battery range and was told by the tech-support it was due to my body weight. After the battery dropped to a range of 2 1/2 mi before croaking I was able to send it back, where they replaced the battery. It was then I finally discovered this scooters full potential. I am easily getting between 17 and 18 miles and that's before the battery even shows critical. I have taken the scooter on several long rides and I've put close to 500 miles on the thing. If you were looking for a best of both worlds scooter one that is both portable that has real practical range, Give this one a try. Oh and the repairs? Outstanding the battery was replaced and a scooter runs like a champ.”
