Switched to a Horizon for my morning commute from a bicycle. It's been a wet spring, but when I have ridden it's been great. 11 miles each way and I have used full power. 4 hours to recharge.

I've had the scooter now for a couple of weeks and compated to some of the entry scooters ive owned i would say this scooter is faster, needs less charging, it i has very bright safety lights. Has a great build quality overall. My only negatives it is still not the most comfortable ride due to the solid rear tire and the charging port is located in a difficult, awkward and overall bad location

Love the performance, easy to learn, plenty of a power for a first time user. Wish it was around 25-30lbs. Maybe next gen will be lighter. Overall satisfied.

I received my Horizon Scooter in a timely manner, easy to track. The box shielding the scooter was a bit disheveled from it's journey/shipping. Turns out the rear fender was broken/cracked. I submitted a pic to FluidFreeRide and in no time I was shipped a new one. Minimal assembly required on my scooter. Other than the fender install, I just had to set and tighten the brake handle and accelerator handle. The scooter rides as advertised! Feels sturdy and handles well. I've just taken it for a spin in my neighborhood so far. Love the 3 speeds, easily "clicked" from one mode to the next. So far, so good

Since the warranty period on these scooters is only 90 days I wanted to log a bare minimum of 100 miles during that period. I've had Horizon for about 2 weeks and other than one annoying issue (that I knew about) I love it. I'm 6'2" and weigh about 218 lbs. I chose this scooter over some others mainly because of price/performance + 265lb weight limit. The 500W motor and what I feel is a strong battery is more than enough for me. The scooter seems well built and reliable for the time I have had it so far. Also I was pleased to see that the front tire was pumped up to what seems like the right pressure. Did FFR do that? Anyway it's a joy to ride even though I'm tall and just today I went up some steep hills. Like well over 15%. During the very steep switchback roads I did have to hop off and walk a little bit but 95% of the way the scooter got me there. I got to see some amazing views. I came down the down hill one way road and I think I may have gone past what I think is the 30mph limit of the speedometer. DON'T DO THIS haha. It was fun but scary. I was rather hard on the drum break approaching turns but everything worked. I then rode the scooter several miles at full speed in warm weather to make my way back to where I started. The motor was a bit hot but not to the point I was super worried about it. I rode the Horizon very hard today, working very hard up hills, way too fast down hills, and extended full speed runs to get back, zero issues. I'm very happy with my purchase. Oh right, docked one star for a slight design issue that online reviews pointed out. The turning lock mechanism for the handlebars tend to slowly loosen. It's not that big of a deal but it makes mainly the left handle bar wobble slightly. I knew it did this and got the scooter anyway. I just tighten it every few miles when I stop at a stop light or for some other reason. It's really a minor thing but to me, it would be the PERFECT scooter for the money if it didn't have this little issue, so 4 starts. Attached pic is from my little adventure up a hill today.

I waited six months to write a review because I wanted to give a fuller picture than straight out of the box. When I first received the scooter, it worked fine for a few days, but then the battery stopped taking a charge. I worked with the company to try to resolve the problem at home and ensure that the problem was with the battery and not the charger. It turns out it was the battery, so they sent me a new scooter. The customer service was very helpful and I'm grateful that they resolved my issue. I would say, however, that the back and forth by email was a bit slow. Honestly, that's where they lost a star. But, since they've replaced the scooter, it has been working great. I've put about 200 miles on it and no issues. I won't dock stars for this, but I'd guess the tech specs for distance and speed are based on being in first gear and/or with a rider who weighs 105 lbs. The gear and your weight will affect your mileage, as will the hilliness of your terrain. Between being in third gear, weighing more than a child, and a pretty significant hill in both directions of my commute, I get about 8 miles per full charge. This didn't surprise me, so I didn't knock it a star. I only mention it so you know what to expect. The scooter is zippy and you get up to speed very quickly. Even in third gear, I top out at about 16-20 mph on flat roads. When going up that hill, I'm usually at about 10 mph. I have hit 28 mph going downhill. That was a bit scary. Fun, but scary. I would DEFINITELY recommend wearing a helmet. With the front tire being filled with air and the shock system, the ride is relatively smooth. You will feel bumps, but from other scooters I've ridden, this is much better. There is one thing that seems like a design flaw. It's not enough that I'll dock it a star, but you should know about it. It's great that the handlebars are able to be folded in when the scooter is folded up. It definitely makes the scooter more portable. But the screwing mechanism that holds the handlebars in place when not folded loosens all the time. It's never to the point of being unsafe. But, with how well designed the rest of it is, that really stands out as a flaw. Overall, I'm really impressed. It has cut commute times down and saved me money (even factoring in electricity). If the response time from the company had been faster when I was having an issue, I would have given the full five stars.
