fluid HORIZON V1 - 48V 10.4Ah - 23 miles Reviews

4.7 Rating 764 Reviews
I've started using this scooter as my primary commuting method between Queens and Manhattan and I am blown away. It has been a treat to ride and gets me to work faster than the subway. Even better, it should pay itself off in no time by saving on subway rides. Highly recommended.

It is powerful enough to take me up steep hills at 225 lbs. Haven't been able to test range because I take short trips but it seems good. Braking and handling is great. It is a bit heavy but I knew that going in. It is solidly built with metal parts. Not the most portable scooter but I don't need it be.

Have rode about a dozen times already. Taken this thing over the queens bridge and around the streets of Manhattan and queens have been fun so far. I weigh 200lbs and got it up to 21 mph on flat ground. Pretty smooth ride and pretty quick.

When I went looking for my first electric scooter, I wanted something fun to ride (more powerful than a ride share scooter) yet reasonably priced. The Horizon fulfills both - it has a 500 watt motor (from what I've read, ride share scooters only have 250 or 350 watts) and the price is not much more than some of the higher priced scooters with 250 watt motors. I liked that Fluid Freeride was transparent about the arrival date. The scooter arrived in good shape - no noticeable scratches on the black paint job, no loose parts, and the scooter powered up without issue. The only minor issue I found was that the front wheel does not spin as easily as I expected. I saw a video showing a person spinning the front wheel when it was off the ground and given how easily that wheel spun, the issue may be specific to my particular scooter and likely not the model in general. All in all, I am quite happy with my decision to go with the Horizon. It has a lot of solid features like the beefier motor for its price point, a rear drum brake, solid range, speed, climbing ability and acceleration (bonuses - it does have cruise control and came with a handy multitool for adjustments). I've ridden over 40 miles so far and looking forward to many more.

After my initial one star review I received multiple emails from the supports staff to address my concerns. My issue is being resolved and I am satisfied with the service I have received. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have emailed support twice with multiple issues for my new horizon and no response after two weeks. Overall is a good product but quality is not as expected.

Coming from an M365, the horizon is definitely much more powerful and faster. Was considering returning it and keeping the M365 but this one feels safer and more rugged compared to the xiaomi. There is very little electronic braking compared to the M365, it almost feels non-existent. The 500W motor is quite loud until you pick up speed after which it isn't noticeable. This thing is HEAVY compared to m365. I need to use both my hands to lift it unlike the M365. The charging socket is annoying since you need to match the notch when plugging it in. Suspensions are great! The M365 used to give me a sharp pain in the back when going over some bumps but that's not an issue with the horizon. I definitely recommend setting acceleration to max level and turning on cruise control. Get used to the brakes as the scooter skids easily on wet roads when braking. I wish we could have stronger acceleration, that's my only request.

My office is fairly close to my apartment, but parking is almost impossible and I don't always feel like taking my bicycle, especially if I will be meeting a client. The Horizon scooter is a great solution. The trip to the office is an upward slope for most of the way but the Horizon cruises at about 18-19 mph up the slope. I'm not a small person either at 6'4" and 230 pounds. I was concerned that the suspension may bottom out with my weight, but I haven't had any issues so I'm assuming that the 265 pound weight limit is accurate. I live in Berkeley, California, which has pretty poor pavement. I was concerned that the solid rear tire would make for a bumpy ride but the rear hydraulic suspension absorbs uneven surfaces easily. Riding rental scooters on the same streets, the vibrations were so severe that my field of vision was literally shaking. The Horizon riding experience is miles ahead of the rental scooters. I have the 42 pound version, and I think the weight is worth the trade off for the excellent suspension, speed and range. Its still light enough to carry around with one hand while opening doors. I take up the stairs to my apartment and the weight isn't really an issue in that respect either. It also folds up into a very compact package and fits underneath my desk easily. Overall, I am very happy with the Horizon and would recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and convenient commuting scooter!

Regarding my horizon and the bad throttle, I emailed the wrong person. I emailed the correct personnel and got a satisfactory response. Now we will see how well their shipping is especially if it's even in stock. Keeping my fingers crossed. I love my horizon and I just want it to be a great scooter for years to come. Not one problem after another.
