I love the product, very comfortable. Works great on a lot of surfaces. Just wish it was faster. But still a great scooter.

Let me start by saying I rarely write product reviews for anything, but given the amount of scooters I've owned in the past two years and my reliance on electric scooters for my daily commute / transportation, I feel like my opinion can be helpful. Since 2019 I've owned a Bird One, Segway Ninebot Max, GoTrax XR Elite, Hiboy S2 Pro, and a Hiboy S2R. I've had two stolen, sold two, and Bird conveniently stopped supporting the app to control their long-term rentals (without notifying their customers -- thanks Bird!). The Widewheel Pro is by far the fastest, best-made, and most expensive scooter I've owned. Overall I would recommend the Widewheel Pro to someone who is experienced riding / owning an entry-level scooter and wants to upgrade to something faster and sexier for their solo transportation. It's kind of like owning a Toyota Corolla and then graduating to a BMW 3 Series -- both will probably get you where you need to go, but the BMW is nicer to look at and is more fun to drive. Here are the plusses and minuses of the Widewheel Pro in my eyes: Plusses -One of the coolest looking scooters at any price point IMHO. The wide wheels give it a very unique profile which do lend it kind of a Batmobile-like feel -Dual suspension means potholes/debris in city streets aren't a huge issue when driving over them at higher speeds. This was literally a safety/pain issue when scootering in cheaper models without suspension -Crazy acceleration. Steep hills are absolutely no issue for this thing either. While it's fun to get off the line quickly, it's also a bit of a drawback, as mentioned below -Keybox ignition (ok, I guess there's not technically an ignition, but you get what I mean) does not require relying on an app to start/lock the scooter, which with other scooters in the past became a problem because of poor software design/updates, or lack of internet connectivity. I also believe it's an anti-theft measure, but someone can still throw this in their car without being able to start it. -Steering column design. The fact that the steering column doesn't rely on a screw/bolt design to secure the column to the wheelbase/platform means it's more resilient to the repetitive impacts of potholes/debris/curbs etc. common in city scootering. With other scooters I would constantly have to maintain the tightness of various screws which over time degraded the ride quality and safety. Minuses -Braking. The brakes on the Widewheel Pro are physical handles that stop the front and back wheels vs an electronic throttle present on many other scooter designs. In my experience these simply aren't sufficient at higher speeds on the Widewheel and the throttles are inconveniently located in front of the handlebars, meaning I have to constantly alternate between accelerating and then adjusting my hands over the brake throttle. I worry about not being able to stop in time in an emergency given the split second delay to adjust my hands and the slow response of the brakes in general. An electronic brake throttle combined with a physical handle for one/both wheels would be a much more comfortable and safer design, IMO -Acceleration. The acceleration is aggressive and punchy, which can be great, but honestly kicks in too fast leading too a herky-jerky riding experience on anything other than a flat, straight road. Combined with the brake issues mentioned above it's something I have to constantly monitor when I ride. While the Widewheel Pro has both Eco and Sport modes I do notice the same jerky acceleration in Eco mode as well. -Kickstand. This is minor, but the kickstand is so thin and folds so close to the underbody of the scooter when closed that it's hard to release with your foot. When I reach my destination I have to unfold the kickstand by hand because the toe of my shoe doesn't have enough dexterity to pull it down -Folding mechanism. The steering column/stem can be loosened by a plastic screw/wheel type mechanism, folded parallel to the deck, and then locked back into place to carry around. This feels bulkier and less secure than a design where the stem clips or locks against the back wheel, especially given the relatively high weight of the Widewheel (50+ lbs). I am worried the stem could strain or snap in some way, although I try to avoid folding it to carry whenever possible. At the end of the day I do love this scooter, and was thrilled Fluid Freeride was offering a substantial discount on it for Black Friday. It was a great deal! There are some design iterations that in my opinion could take the Widewheel from a great scooter to an almost perfect one for the price.

Delivered in quick time from order. Packaged great no damage. Been using the scooter for 2 weeks now, im 6'3 tall and have size 15 feet, so only issues i have are lack of feet space on board, but workable, it weighs 55lbs so carrying it up/ down NYC subways stairs can be a workout, also the eco setting is very slow for speed to kick in and the fast setting kicks in speed way to fast, maybe in future with newer designs you can update the speed dial for my accurate settings , apart from those issues, im very happy with the scooter , built like a tank and the design turns heads.
