“Do not buy this if you plan on curb jumping or going over and potholes, bumps, sidewalk ramps with a bump. The shocks and tires do a wonderful job on small little bumps in the road, they do a great going over pebbles and cracks. This scooter completely fails over any bump! First 5 mins of riding at 13 mph I was going up a sidewalk ramp and there was a 1" lip. At 13 mph it hit so hard it bent the rim slightly. I was about to return it then I realized the cost of shipping and paying for a new wheel.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCOOTER OTHER THEN RIDING ON SMOOTH CONCRETE BIKE PATHS OR ROADS.
Spend a bit more and get something with better shocks and air filled tires.
also the throttle is so jumpy! Almost impossible to ride this at a consistent speed. I just bought the upgraded throttle to see if that helps.”
“So far the Widewheel has met my expectations. I purchased this particular model because the reviews were favorable for the most part. The scooter arrived in pristine condition, very well built, the plastic pieces seem to be good quality plastic, not the cheap easy-to-break plastic. As for the performance, the acceleration is phenomenal, I just hang on tight to the handlebars and throttle it slowly, as the throttle lever is sometimes all or nothing until I reach speed, then just feather the throttle to maintain a steady flow. I originally bought the scooter to make short trips to the liquor store, convenience store, Starbucks run, etc. There's a 7-11 about two blocks from my house, I'd be willing to bet I could reach the parking lot quicker on the Widewheel than I could driving a car, all because I can cut through parking lots and use the bike lane to my advantage, and avoid traffic lights. I purchased the Widewheel from Fluidfreeride and not EBay or Amazon because the staff at Fluidfreeride seem so passionate about the products they sell and provide a much needed after sale support with repairs/parts to keep my little beauty running smoothly for years to come. Electric vehicles are the wave of the near future, as for the distant future it's hard to say, possibly vehicles that float a few inches off the ground such as hoverboards and such, albeit battery life and weight still continue to be a challenge to manufacturers. As improvements continue to advance, it's amazing to think about the performance possibilities available by building scooters out of carbon like high end bicycles, and using batteries that weigh ounces rather than pounds.”
“I did research and found this Fluidfreeride dealer has real American Responsible Technicians workers.. I saved $100 on a Ultra Rare Wide Wheel Pro deluxe.... I am about to loctite all of it and go riding because I am a responsible operator. Shipping was fast and box was taken care of from the elements....”
“Just got my first escooter about 2 weeks ago from Fluidfreeride and been using it to go to work which is about 1 mile from my apartment I also use it to go to the lake in Chicago. It's a really cool scooter that gets everyone's attention everywhere I go. I did got it to a max of 28 mph j used my phone's speedometer and the speedometer on the scooter itself was showing 27mph so it goes fast as claimed haven't really done a range test but my voltage has never gotten under 48 volts and battery always shows 50% or more. Amazing scooter to ride will later be getting one that's faster next year sometime and be giving this one to my gf so we can ride together. Hope more people buy the widewheel pro it's amazing.”
“I love my WWP scooter but there are a few things I wish I thought of before buying this model. Smooth riding on flat surfaces with great power and range but on bumpy services air tires would have been a better choice. Great overall scooter but I would prefer if the scooter had metal rims instead of plastic and a better space to fit a sturdy lock.”
