“Bought this as a gift for my son. Overall it is an impressive product. Like other reviewers say the power is there. Actually based on other reviews I thought it would take off faster. I am 225 lbs so I am slightly over the weight limit. Even so it hauls me to 20+ miles per hour in no time. On a full charge I hit 25 mph with my weight, after that I can hit 23 through the entire range of the battery. There is no noticeable loss in the acceleration through the entire battery range.
There are alot of great things about this scooter, but some not so good things if I am being honest. Build quality is very good! It looks great, even better in person. The deck is plenty large even for a full sized adult. Power makes it fun to ride.
OK for the bad things... Like everyone says the throttle leaves something to be desired. I bought the long throw throttle but didn't feel the need to install it. The reason I didn't install it is because the problem is with the power delay. The response is about I would say a full second behind. Changing the throttle will not fix the power delay. This to me is the biggest disappointment, the only way to fix this would be to have a different speed controller, or possibly reprogram the existing speed controller.
Other not so great things to consider... I like the width of the tires but would prefer them to be air filled and less flat. That and I would prefer an option to replace the bars for a non-folding. Different tires, a stronger bar and instant power delivery from the throttle would make this scooter A-LOT more fun to ride. I have an electric Go-Ped with suspension that doesn't suffer from any of these issues, well I bought racing bars for the Go-Ped though. But I can hop up and down curbs, and carve turns with much more confidence on the Go-Ped.”
“I ordered a Widewheel Pro, package came 3 days earlier than what was predicted on the order page. Being my first scooter, I was very excited. I was not ready for the sheer amount of torque this thing has. I kept it in Eco mode for the first day or so of riding. Coming from an old kickscooter, the weight, throttle and turning took some getting used to, but it only took an hour or two for me. Once I did though, the experience was just excellent. The build quality is very good, there is a VERY small amount of creaking from the stem, but absolutely zero sense of instability, even going downhill at 25mph. The stock throttle does have a 1 second or less delay depending on speed, but it is a small nitpick compared to how fun the rest of the experience is. I was also pleasantly surprised that it fit in the trunk of my NB Miata. Overall I highly recommend this scooter, and I would definitely purchase again from fluidfreeride!”
“I love the engineering in the widewheel pro. The dual suspension and dual motors take care of the bumps and provide plenty of power and acceleration. The stock throttle needs to be upgraded which is available for an extra $20, which I recommend as a must.”
“I bought two 2020 Wide Wheel Pro scooters. The original throttles have a short throw so they are very jerky to ride. I waited and purchased upgraded throttles to solve the problem but could not install because the Allen screws under the control board are stripped on both scooters making impossible to finish. Wasted money and time trying to solve this issue (at my cost). The scooters are powerful and could be fun but need to have the throttle issue fixed going forward. Very frustrating experience.”
