WideWheel PRO CLE Edition with keylock Reviews

4.5 Rating 720 Reviews
Now, things you dont. It's thumb throttle has very little in-between it feels go!!! Or no go and I do mean go, its got power. Turning, let's just say slooooow way down and lean and still very wide. Suspension is tight which is good but it should have a slight bit more travel in my opinion. With the tire as they are it can sometime be a rough ride. Maybe a slightly more absorbant style for an upgrade or future model. I also would feel safer if this model also implemented the key feature as anyone can just turn it on an go. The special lock, it's not so special...lol. Fast, powerful, great looking, well built.10 miles and 22mph top Speed on 1st charge in power mode. Thats with lots of inclines and I charged it then had to wait 5 days to ride so it lost a little charge. Did I say FUN!

Been a while since I rode a gas powered scooter so getting up to speed was fast and easy for me. This is strictly for fun for and for me Quick and Fast is fun. I ride in full power mode and no kick start just hit the accelerator and go. I've gone 11 plus miles on mostly full throttle and get down to two bars of battery power and at this point I loose a few MPH top speed but still performs well. I've hit 26 mph and passed a speed trap machine at 27 while the Wide Wheel shows 26. Good performance as far as I'm concerned. After letting off at full throttle it has a slight hesitation before the power hits again which when slowing for a turn takes a little getting used to. Straight line stability is excellent tight turns are a challenge at speed but I'm getting it down. Braking is very good, I adjusted mine a little tighter than stock and practice emergency stops, just lean back a grab both brakes and it stops quickly and predictably. I executed a fairly tight left turn at the end of a cul de sac with my left (front) foot off and the rear slid out somewhat predictably, I was a little surprised but it was pretty cool too. No crashes yet, I wear a full face Troy Lee Designs D3 down hill bike helmet with 100% goggles this is great protection. I wear Jeans hiking boots, neoprene knee pads under my jeans and good motocross gloves. Turning is challenge under power but like anything else, just takes practice to master. This is a well built little rocket and for the money it's well worth the fun I'm having. Checked all the hardware to make sure nothing is coming loose. So far all is tight. kinda curious if power and battery capacity will improve with a little time ? Not sure if this would be my first choice for a tight busy city commute but it's awesome for acceleration and just plain fun. I love my Wide Wheel !!

So like the majority of the 4 star reviews, I feel the throttle isn't smooth enough. Maintaining a lower speed is difficult and jerky. I hope they come out with a fix or an option to replace the throttle that works smoother. Other than that, it seems very sturdy, solid and well made. It is a blast to ride at full speed. I also have a hard time getting the top speed above 24mph. Was really hoping to get at least 25 of the 26 mph advertised speed. I don't regret the purchase at all. That being said, I feel if the throttle issue was addressed it would be a 5 star scooter hands down.

Bought this after my previous dinky Swagtron scooter's motor died on me in the middle of the road - that spooked me enough to just buy a nice scooter once and never have to worry about it again. Holy shit this thing GOES. I almost fell off the damn scooter even when i put it in eco mode because the thing puts out so much torque. Even in eco mode i was climbing hills easily and hitting the max 18 mph speed within seconds. The wide wheel with suspensions really does make the riding experience feel so much more robust - there is barely any wobble with this thing, and i can even take one arm off the handlebar to do hand turning signals without this thing tipping on me. Fantastic buy, zero regrets. If it ever breaks, i will update this review but honestly i dont see it happening. This thing is built like a damn tank.

Very happy with the wide wheel pro. The front brake is a big difference compared with the previous version. also having an odometer is very important. The only thing missing compared to the old one is the key. With this one you press a button and you go so you have to keep an eye on the scooter if you leave it outside a coffee store or similar. The power is more than enough to bring me and my 220 lbs up the hill before my house. (8% for half a mile) without a problem. Battery life is good. It needs some getting used to it because of the wide tires but that doesn't mean that this scooter is not fun. Only complain is the throttle that is more like a switch and I needed to get used to it. Overall it is easily a 5 star scooter especially for this price point. Very happy with it and also with the support that i get to my questions from the fluid ride team. Thank you

In a word; WOW! Fast, responsive, clean lines, can go from the Giants stadium to Sausalito and back on one charge! The wide wheel is for those who want to enjoy the jouney as much as increasing your ability to get around town. Powerful, Yup. Up all the hills from Golden Gate Heights even after a day of riding around the City.
