“I had concerns about the ride on airless tires, but it is totally smooth. This scooter is powerful, stable, and well made. I use it for commuting on city roads, and it works great. The battery holds plenty of charge.”
“I live in San Francisco with lots of hills not many scooters can handle going up them all, but this mercane can fly up these hills like nothing. The torque may be a bit sensitive so be wary when accelerating in the beginning. Other than that I would recommend this scooter to anyone I know that would want to get one.”
“The Pro is almost perfect. Awesome looks and performance, easy to use digital control. If they can only improve the throttle control. I'm having fun with it!”
“The torque is so much fun on this Scooter, every people who tried mine said only one word first time they pressed the torque "WOOW"..
Overall solid build Scooter with a great comfort and torque.
Not to be compare with the cheaper scooters like Hiboy or the segways.
Only downside so far is really the weight, it is quite heave to carry.”
“I bougt my Widewheel PRO from Fluid freerides website and got it delivered in time by UPS in Sweden. The charger came with a adapter that fits 220v outlets in Sweden as i asked for it while ordering. The Widewheel PRO is very powerful so i use it in ecomode most of the time. I Made a rear fender of rubber so wont get my back dirty if i Ride it in wet conditions. It Feels robust and rides well even in steep hills. Its a bit heavy on the bus but it works. If fluid freeride had some backpack for it it would have worked better to Use it in daily commuting. Then one could have Carried it on the back in stores for example. In normal and eco mode it makes in Sweden street legal 20km/hr. Thanks for a great product./ Thomas Sweden”
“Been riding this scooter EVERYWHERE! Ride to work, ride to the cycle shop for motorcycle gear, ride to hangouts, hell, even across the golden gate bridge for an interview. This vehicle is amazing. Biggest flaw that I can see, security. I liked the original for having a key, its still an extra layer of security but now I have to wait next month to buy the top of the line Kryptonite 240 dollars chain and lock to actually make me feel like i do not check on this scooter parked every 15 minutes. Other scary thing, going downhill. The dual brakes is pretty nice, however, one crazy bump and i can see myself rolling”
“the design and the ride is great, my only issue was the battery ans the range I was getting. I think I got a defective battery but that happens. The fluid guys work it out with me and after a few tests to the scooter the agree to replace it with other scooter. I end up grading it for a mantis.”
“This is a punchy commuting scooter for cities that have steep hills! The build quality is outstanding, and the dual motors really take you up even the steepest Seattle hill with ease. The 50 pound weight is totally manageable for taking it up or down a flight of stairs. There are a few things to note, however:
-My biggest problem is the throttle. There is a delay in actuation which makes it feel out of sync. Furthermore, the throttle curve is REALLY touchy, almost like a switch rather than an analog throttle. You will get used to it, but please take it slow initially.
-Headlight isn't bright enough. Get a separate light.
-Like the original WW, the battery readout is displayed in voltage, NOT as a percentage remaining. There is a chart included to show how to read this, but it is an odd decision.
-Front motor and brake cables stick out quite a ways. Could be a possible hazard.
All in all, there are not many scooters like this one. I'll certainly be keeping it despite the quirks.”
