INOKIM Light 2 Black (LIGHT2 SUPER 10.4Ah) Reviews

4.5 Rating 58 Reviews
I don't have much to say, but the purchase of my scooter was very easy. It arrived early. The only thing I was disappointed with was FedEx. It is supposed to be signed for. The driver left it on my porch when no one was home and he signed for it. That is terrible on FedEx's part. I love my scooter. I use it to go back and forth to work. After a little getting used to it, I really enjoy it.

I had originally bought this scooter back in November 2020. I was sent a used scooter (box torn up, NY police dept sticker on it) and it was a hassle to find an approved carrier to ship back a lithium battery scooter. Fluidfreeride sent me back a brand new scooter in a new box. It's a great, well-built scooter which had survived accidents. Nice and portable, pneumatic tires and cruise control built in. It's still considered "lightweight" at 30 lbs. Can go max 22 mph downhill. For what you get, it's worth it.

I got sick of paying to park in order to work so did a ton of research on electronic scooters and this one won me over due to the color options. There was another brand I probably would have gone with but not by much. I've had 5 rides on it so far and love it. It's very smooth (Michigan roads suck), easy to carry up a flight of stairs to my office, and I feel very safe on it with how the braking feels. The only thing that is an issue is the accelerator keeps getting stuck which is not safe. I know it's doing it now so I make sure my hand is on it but I'd love a permanent fix. I loosened the handlebars and repositioned them after I found that on YouTube but I don't want to do that each ride. Also FYI - there isn't anything in the manual about tightening the handle bars. I was so confused on how I was supposed to ride it with them easily moving but thank you again YouTube.

Nice looking scooter, all parts are replaceable, but there is a fatal flaw. The updated 2022 version changed rear wheel to never flat tire, but they still have the front wheel prone to flat. I used it lightly for less than 2 weeks on nice, even paved roads for short distance. Unfortunately it already got a flat on the front wheel. When it works, it does the job fine, but no one can take a flat less than 2 weeks, I can already see this becoming a regular issue. There is no suspension what so ever, so they have to keep the front wheel air tubed so as to absorb shocks, but that will make it unusable for daily commute. Great design with fatal flaw. Just got off with Fluidfreeride customer service, they will need to review the case and have a tech examine the scooter at the shop before refund. They give me the option to return it to their shop in Brooklyn since that is close to me, which save me the time to package it and mail it. Any buyer needs to understand this scooter is not suitable for daily commute unless the roads are in perfect conditons!

The neck is sloppy, it doesn't line up with the wheel. Will not climb well at all.

I did purchase the scooter in November. On the 2nd day, the inner tube died on the rear wheel (which I got by mistake instead of never run-flat). I waited for the rear never run flat wheel for 1.5 weeks (thanks for the USPS delivery, appreciated). Once I installed the rear wheel, it went 8 -ty when I rode. I decided to make adjustments but the front inner tube died as well. Having had this scooter for a max of 3 weeks I used it for 2 days overall. It was the worst purchase ever with the budget >1K. Technically it was a complete waste of my time. The only plus is the look and feel. Suggestion to Inokim suppliers - Admit the fact that the inner tube or the wheel design overall is not appropriate. The scooter can not be used on daily basis.

Hi Vladimir - sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Of course flats can happen sometimes with air-tires. However, that you had two flats in such a short time-span is really unfortunate. We can assure you that this is out of the ordinary. We realize that having a flat is annoying, which is why the new 2022 version of the light 2 comes with a never flat rear tire. I just checked and saw that your return and refund have been processed. Hope to have you as our customer in the future. BR

The machine and packaging are excellent. The manual and setup instructions are way too cryptic and lack important information. I unwittingly got trapped in this information void and nearly sent my new scooter back. Naturally, the first thing I did was plug in the battery charger. Before long I had all of the setup work done and was ready to go but, try as I might, I simply could not get the LCD to turn on. It would blink enticingly for a few mili-seconds and again go dark. I scoured the manual several times and saw zero helpful hints. As I began packing the scooter up to return it, I tried again and suddenly it was working! It turned out that plugging in the very ordinary looking charger disables the LCD. The manual makes no reference to this. If fact, it clearly warns "do not operate the scooter while charging it", actually implying that this is even possible. There is also not one word about operation of lights. Turns out they are automatic(very bad idea), and the manual could have saved me some grief by saying so. I want the ability to turn lights on at will, and to disable them if I'm concerned about range. Otherwise, the scooter is very well made and well designed for its mission. I carry it in my small 2-seat airplane.
