MANTIS 2025 - fluid Edition Legacy Trigger Throttle Display 18.2Ah - 33 miles range Reviews

4.5 Rating 470 Reviews
So it started by wanting a different commute to work every day. I did my research and fell on the mantis. I was a little reluctant to spend $1500 plus tax on just an alternate commuter. After just three days for shipping I was unboxing the mantis. The assembly was extremely easy and I was on my way. It has been a couple weeks now and it has been my sole mode of commute this last week. I love everything about my mantis. To the point of my family and coworkers are willing to make this their mode of transportation. I am am 230 lbs and it does 38 mph without a struggle. I have taken it 28 miles between charges. I also bought the fast charger after initial purchase cause I found It could fit under my desk and use work electricity to charge. Win win. Overall love the mantis and would recommend to anyone in the market.

Been looking at, considering an electric scooter for well over a year now... city commuter, trail etc... This one is a certainly mor than a putt around the park ride... Handle trail, unexpected bumps in the road, compete with traffic at/in intersections(speed)... smooth and wickedly fun... 60+ miles in so far(2 weeks of ownership)... Hope it last forever :)

Easily some of the worst customer service I've ever received. What makes it so frustrating is that they are prompt and very nice, but then lead you in the wrong direction or are shockingly terrible at their job of actually following through on the customer service. It's to the point that at times I think I'm being punked in an elaborate practical joke TV show where a scooter company pretends to actually provide customer service but then provides grossly misleading answers or gaslights customers. It would make for amusing TV, assuredly, however, I am not amused. I really, truly love my Mantis scooter-- which makes this bafflingly awful customer service all that much difficult to endure. However, my scooter --rather than bringing me joy--is now broken and worthless for many months. In the mean time, Fluid Free Ride insists on providing me with delightfully contradictory responses, leading me down a wild goose chase wherein I keep up my hopes of finding a real human with a brain who might help me fix my scooter. ISSUE SUMMARY This is the part that no one asked for where I recount in painstaking detail my experience with Fluid's "Customer Service." It all started when my scooter flashed an E-10 warning-- a week later the scooter slowed and stopped working. I googled this and no manual indicated such a warning. I emailed customer service with a link to someone who solved their E-10 issue by changing the magnet -- I asked how I could get a new magnet and **for tips for solving the E-10 problem. ** They responding to my E-10 problem simply saying that I needed to get a new controller. I purchased and INSTALLED IT MYSELF (I am not handy) but I was proud of my efforts. This did not solve the problem--- I was misled that this was the solution. I asked customer service why they told me to they said hey not our problem, E-10 can be a bunch of things-- you asked for a new magnet and we got you a new controller (when I really asked for advice on fixing the E-10 issue and suggested a potential solution). They didn't respond but said basically tough luck. Then they said you have to send your scooter to Miami and it costs $200 both ways. Very baffling, no instructions on how to get there. I call Miami many times, no one ever answers the phone. Finally I listened to their voicemail which said I could text. YES ! I got a response. They texted and told me to go to Fed Ex to ship my scooter. I took in my scooter into to local Fed Ex... Fed Ex called Orlando Fed Ex HQ and said they I cant ship from the office and that Fed Ex does not ship scooters at al b/c of the lithium batteries. They pulled out this little chart thing and said something about no batteries. I text Fluid customer service-- I'm pretty upset about Fluid misleading me twice in a row--- and they say, ok we'll arrange for pickup. GREAT! I texted to arrange for pick up. I got a response which said pickup is arranged for today See label attached (NO LABEL ATTACHED and NO PICKED UP ARRANGED). How did they arrange for pick up if they don't have my address? I texted them requesting more information and they said "You can ship both ways for $200"

Hi Joel - We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I went back to check our communication and agree with you that we were a bit quick to send you the new controller, after you messaged us suspecting that this was the issue. We apologize for that. The label was attached a couple of times. If you still could not open the attachment, please let us know. As communicated via email we arranged a pick up at your address for today. BR
