“I love it. Was looking for something fast but also safe, this is both. I'm 5'11 220pds and can reach 38mph on a full charge. The range is great I normally take a lightrail to and from work and home. This is faster than the lightrail by 20min so an hour ride now takes 40min. I can go 20miles on a full charge with turbo on top speed 3 setting. The ride is smooth the suspension takes away all the bumpiness and at top speeds no wobble in the stem handle bar. Took it on dirt/gravel and grass in street tires and felt safe at top speeds. The weight is extremely heavy can be but not meant to be carried other than picking up to put in trunk. Get the fluid free ride lock and you'll be good parking outside the store in bike area. If you ride at night getting a headlight is required for safety cars will not notice the bottom lights on board. Highly recommend I make up excuses just to go for a ride and always take the long way lol it's that fun.”
“The Mantis Base is a blast to ride. I live in the San Francisco area and I have been able to take all hills I've attempted. I am not a small guy at 235 lbs and have easily reached 38 mph and it had more to give. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a comfortable, stable, high power, and more importantly high quality scooter to check out the Mantis.”
“Ok so I put 50 miles on it so far...Its fast and you better put all your attention into riding when going over 15 mph..can't find much wrong with it except and there's always a few gripes..plastic fenders rattle when going over bumps other then that very solid..now the big gripe..the buttons for turbo and motors should be displayed in instrument cluster or at least light up the words turbo when engaged..never 1000% what it's in when i get back on it until i ride it a couple of feet..kickstand foot should be a little wider and angled more ..scooter stands to straight up the wind almost blew it over on me. Fun as hell scooter”
“Amazing scooter. This thing FLIES, and the battery lasts as advertised. The acceleration is almost too much on dual motor mode, especially on the highest settings. Only critiques I have are that the handlebar doesn't feel the most stable (you can always kind of jiggle it a bit), the battery meter isn't accurate (dies around 25-30%; found that out the hard way, not pleasant to carry back), and the standard charger doesn't always indicate that it's finished charging when it indeed has, which leads me to think it doesn't always prevent overcharging. Overall, still love the thing and always look forward to getting out on it!”
“Fantastic experience, the Mantis. Great power and speed to ride side by side with city traffic and to deal with hills. Very stable platform. It became the daily commuting vehicle. The performance and stability are the strong points. Would suggest some additional maintenance information on the delivery, that would be usefull. Points that could be improved: water resistance and as any other scooter or machine, it takes some care and attention (bolts) on the long run, Overall, it is simply an fantastic machine, i'm super happy riding this elegant black beast, highly reccomendable. Also greatly thankfull to fluidfreeride for the great support and endurance managing a troubled delivery and for the offers, thank you all.”
