Got a sweet deal on cyber Monday. Got the Mantis and city rider. Mantis is a beast of a scooter hang on tight

The Mantis is my first scooter and it Is a tremendous amount of fun, I have had it up to 42mph, and although I had anticipated being terrified at such speeds, it really feels quite comfortable and natural. It arrived with a few quality control issues but Peter at Fluid Freeride was immediately responsive and helpful. I am very pleased with this scooter, but there are a few design issues worth noting, the rear fender is basically useless, and the lighting while bright a very cool looking does very little to illuminate the road. I really struggled when it came to shelling out that much money for, what for me is essentially a toy, but this scooter feels closer to a motorcycle than a kick scooter, and so far if calculated as fun per dollar this thing is worth every penny.

All the scooters on this site are adult scooters. But riding this scooter should probably require a license. I've ridden it for about 40 miles now and can keep up with traffic in residential areas where the speed limit is 35 MPH or less. The suspension is a great touch for commuting, which I plan to do with it, and the strength of the chassis and handle bar stem give me a good sense of confidence. Turbo mode is almost too fast (if there is such a thing). Be careful with the regenerative breaking. It's strong, comes on quick, and if set too high will lock up the back wheel. Pros: Stupid fast. Suspension. Range. Customizability of riding settings. Feel of disc brakes. Underglow for visibility. Turn that power up and spin the rear tire. Cons: Throttle sensitivity (which you can dial back but still strong at lowest setting). Weight. Lack of headlight. Cost is high compared to the general scooter population. Handlebars don't fold. Regen braking isn't linear. Took a little under a month to get it after ordering. In all I'm very happy with this scooter and super stoked this type of scooter is exists. I've got a 12 mile commute through suburban and commercial areas in the U.S. and needed a serious vehicle that didn't require highway registration. This commute is over a large hill which rules out the bicycle. Plus scooters are just too fun. I'm a bit worried about getting parts when the time comes. This (serious) scooter industry is new and up and coming. Fluid I'd love to see a local scooter shop in the San Diego area! Thank you so much for importing these scooters and making them available.

Hi, I was an early supporter of this scooter. I bought it when it first came out. It's overpowered and weighs too much as a practical electric scooter to use as a last mile or even an everyday commute. Maybe you can take it on a train, but your arms would be sore after a few seconds of holding it. You have to lock it up with a u lock and a motorcycle disc lock because of how high profile it looks. It doesn't have an alarm system, it doesn't have mirrors. The top speed is not safe and for what you pay for, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Above all that, I'm disappointed that they would do a promotion giving you a lighter electric scooter with your Mantis and completely screw over everyone who pre ordered the scooter. This to me is really unfair. Yes, it sounds like I'm complaining for a free scooter, but the fact that the scooter for me is absolutely horrible to ride everyday is a reason to at least ask for a more portable one, especially for the price I paid. When I bought the scooter, I knew it was going to be fast, but after riding it, it's not a safe scooter to ride in the city. I also knew it was going to be heavy, but it's size and the fact that you can't make the handlebars go down, it's not worth bringing it anywhere. It's way too fast and way too heavy. I'll be making a video and posting a video on YouTube on this scooter. I really do not like how fluidfreeride handled this whole situation. I reached out to them asking if they were willing to give me a cityrider at a lower price because of how impractical the scooter was as my daily commute, and they said the promotion was only for a limited time only and that it wasn't being offered to early supporters. For that reason, I'm giving this scooter a negative review. The scooter is really impractical and fluidfreeride doesn't care about you as a customer, they only care that they got their money. I won't be buying a scooter from them ever again. I'll be posting my video next week.

I previously owned a Segway es4 and I purchased this scooter due to the es4 not having enough battery life. Upon opening the scooter I was a little overwhelmed as it was pretty big compared to the es4. Assembly was super easy just 4 bolts. I felt that the brakes were a little loose and Peter from fluid free ride was great and helped me handle the issue immediately. Upon taking it outside it was definitely the most powerful scooter I've ever ridden. The acceleration almost threw me off as I wasn't prepared for it. The great thing was being able to edit the settings. I lowered the acceleration and now it's just right. I can easily hit 20 mph on eco mode which is more then fast enough for my daily commute I've gone up to 3mph while riding up a bridge and scooter the didn't disappoint the power was amazing. The only con I could think of is I wish the handle bar felt a bit sturdier other then that the scooter was amazing Had great power and only used 3 percent battery for my commute.

Absolutely love this company. I had some issues at the beginning and Peter was so incredible at ensuring that they were very quickly resolved. I can't even count the amount of time he spent one-on-one with me via phone and email ensuring that I was a happy customer. This was my first Power Scooter, and it's a beast! Will definitely be choosing this company again in the near future for my next E-Scooter.
