“I had a hip issue and made an appointment to see a sports doctor. 2 weeks before the appointment I started Elements. Within a few training sessions, the hip flexor issue went away. I am so thankful as the doctor gave me the “your getting older, maybe slow down” speech and recommended some supplements from a conspiracy website. Bullet dodged. I’ve gone on to 2 other GMB programs. I am currently using Sequences to help strengthen and upkeep mobility as a support for 10-14 hours a week of triathlon training. Thank you, GMB!”
“Can’t say enough good things about GMB and Elements program. My friend turned me on to GMB and I watched/listened to/read a lot of the content while I was recovering from major shoulder surgery last year. Once I had gone through enough PT and was starting to develop more strength, I signed up for Elements a couple months ago. I can honestly say that this 55 year old has now regained more strength and mobility than before my injury which was 10 months ago. Don’t be fooled by the name - Elements is really hard! There’s still a lot I can’t do well, but if I slow things down and really follow the great instruction, I always improve. I love the warm-up/practice/play/finish strong ethos to the sessions. And I’ve emailed the GMB team a number of times for help/tips/suggestions, and they are super responsive. I get some funny looks in the gym I go to sometimes because I’m sitting there on the floor, tuned into my phone, doing the Bear or Monkey or whatever. But all the folks looking at me are weaker and less flexible than I am, so ha. No seriously, this is a great program if you take it seriously and pay attention to your body, how you are feeling that day, take things slowly, and “run your own race” with it. Thanks GMB!”
“I have started Elements a number of times but failed to consistently find an uninterrupted solid block of 15 or 30 minutes. Late last year I decided to try the grease the groove approach. Using the amazing flexibility of the Praxis platform I break the sessions down into 5 minute blocks eg Warm up, practise etc. and target a 30 minute session over 2 days. It is working. I am getting solid benefits in strength and mobility at no apparent cost.
You may call it cheating - I call it a workaround. And it is working. I plan to complete Elements at last and move to Sequences later this year. PS I am 71 Y.O. and this is part of my plan to die young later.”
“As an 'older' chap with plenty of niggles and injuries on his journey to get his fitness back, I've opted to start with some mobility training and lay a good foundation before pushing on. Elements is good fun, different, and has got my knee doing things it hasn't been able to do for a long time.”
“Wanted something simple I could do at home regularly to get rid of the stiffness and aches that creep up from being too sedentary. Elements is not only getting rid of the kinks but I am feeling more stamina, strength, and mobility without getting bored from repetition.”
“A great programme to help people improve their movement, strength, power everything really but without pushing you to do this too hard too fast which could lead to injury.
I want to work towards being able to do gymnastic moves like a cartwheel, handstand and bridge but after having two kids and my body changing g a lot I don’t want to dive into trying this and risking injury. This programme was great and gave me manageable sessions to work through”
“The fundamentals are always the most important and nothing seems to build out the fundamentals as well as Elements. This is a program I often return to as it consistently helps resolve tightness and reduce general discomfort. I never used to be able to deep squat (and I'm still far from perfect) but Elements has been the program that helped me build the lower body mobility that I need.”
“In the past when I attempted to stick to some other routines, I felt like an unfit person emulating the movements that a "fit" person can properly do. Even though I progressed a bit, I still felt like an uncoordinated and prone-to-injury any second type of person. But after going through some Elements sessions, it started to feel like my base level of athleticism and stable movement was magically improving... something I thought you could only develop in your teenage years as an athlete. Add to that GMB's video explanations in the sessions and the intuitive Praxis app, it's by far the best training experience I've had in my life. Go through Elements and show your body some love”
