“I have been using the 30m hose reel for a month. There is a very strong odour of new plastic coming off the water that comes out of this hose. I do not want to fill up pet bowls or drink from the hose, let alone water the vegetable garden. I thought after a month the smell would go away , but it seems to be the same or stronger. I am on scheme water (mains) in a metropolitan area. The water here is odourless and drinkable out of all my other taps and hoses. There is definitely something very wrong with the type of hose used, or the hose is not fully cured or something is chemically wrong with it. Makes me feel nauseous when watering the garden. I made the mistake of rinsing some asparagus with it and had to wash it again with the kitchen tap as the asparagus smelled of plastic.”
