“I sort of mistakingly grabbed this, thinking it was just regular incense... so do your research as to how this is used before buying it, unlike me. It is definitely potent stuff, and does have a pleasant smell without even having to burn it. You don't seem to get a lot in the package (considering the size of the tub), and the packaging isn't overly impressive, btw. But, it seems like this type of item is pretty expensive no matter what, so maybe the value is okay.Overall, do your research as to the proper way to use/burn this product, and it may be exactly what you are looking for!”
“This incense comes nicely packaged and is sealed to keep it fresh. I could smell the incense through the packaging before even opening it. It is a very nice-smelling incense. It's fragranced wood chips that you burn on top of charcoal or in an electric incense burner. If you've never used this type of Arabian style incense you should expect a very potent and long lasting scent. This incense is very aromatic and I think it smells wonderful. The scents are common mixtures found through out the Middle East and North Africa and this is very reminiscent of some of the bakhoor's I've smelled in Egypt. These stronger Middle Eastern blends are not widely available in the US so I have a hard time finding them in stores, but here on Amazon there are a variety of different scents you could try. This one is very floral but it also has a smokey, sultry-ness to it. The scent will change a little from start to finish. It can look really disappointing when you open the jar and there doesn't seem to be much in it but the best thing you can remember about this type of incense is that a little really does go a long way. You won't need to use very much to create a lot of smoke and release a lot of fragrance. I love that this fragrance lingers for almost 24 hours.”
“I tried this Muattar Al Wattan (50g) | Long Lasting Oud Incense | Safron, Lemon, Plum, Geranium, Cedarwood, Rose, Myrrh, Patchouli and Musk | Use with Charcoal/Electric Bukhoor Burners (Mabkhara) | Frankincense because I like Swiss Arabian perfumes. This oud incense arrives vacuum-sealed in plastic inside a twist-close jar. These are about dime-sized pieces of incense saturated with oil.I was worried about the scent of this incense since I'm not usually a fan of geranium, but I found this incense to create a sweet rose scent that I found very pretty. I'm picky about florals, but I like this one.”
“I have all sorts of different incense type things burning - incense, sage, cone incense, etc - and have tried them all. While this type is a bit more of a hassle in terms of needing its own burner (compared to a stick incense that doesn’t need special equipment), it does let out more fragrance/throw than a stick incense. This made my home smell amazing. I had to open up the windows up wide for air ventilation. This stuff comes in a plastic container, keeping it fresh and contained until next use. If you love burning incense and things like this, I’d recommend giving this type a try. You’ll need a burner for it though so make sure to get that first.”
