Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I love my Le Chameau, having tried loads of different types of wellies these are by far the best and really last. I use mine daily and get at least 2/3 years out of them. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they do pull my socks down if I’m not wearing long socks. However that is such a small thing compared to the comfort, support and value they give. Nothing on the market to compare in my opinion.”

“Awful! Both wellies allowed water in! My feet were absolutely soaked ! When I returned home I literally pored out the water from both boots ! I actually had the sense to video myself so I could send the wellies back. I am disgusted with the service . Although I was offered a ‘refund’ I was absolutely astonished at the lack of care afforded to me after purchasing both myself and my sister a boots at the cost of £380! We are totally disappointed to say the least. I would have expected a pair of new wellies sent out free of charge after my feet were sodden and blistered ! We did ask for a gesture of goodwill and was refused in the basis that … yes we agree the wellies poured water in but the next pair you buy won’t!!, seriously poor customer service ! No I didn’t expect something for nothing as I wouldn’t have spent nearly £400 on a pair of wellies for me and my sister! But I did expect a much better response from customer services Who expected me to purchase another pair at full price. Based on my experience , if this could happen to the first pair, what Faith have I that it wouldn’t happen again. Disgraceful service which lead to sore feet, blisters and a very disappointing outcome to say the least. Wouldn’t trust this product or the service afforded by the company. Let’s hope the managing director reviews this !”

“Perfect. So very comfortable. Perfect size. I bought a 7. The size I normally choose for a boot to allow for a pair of thicker socks.”

“The two boots were different sizes, although labelled the same size. So one was tight and rubbed and one was comfortable as I had expected. These were to replace a pair which had started leaking just after the 2 yr warranty ran out. They are comfortable - when they fit. They came fast. The older pair are very comfortable, except for having to use a plastic bag to keep one foot dry”

“Super comfy from the first wear - a great wellie! Very snug on the calf though (I have relatively lean calves). While not an issue, this was quite unexpected and makes them pretty difficult to get off.”
