Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I was actually quite surprised at the quality. I’ve always had the jersey lining and they been really comfortable. After ordering these ones I was shocked at the discomfort I got from wearing them on a walk as the lining on the inside at the heel is really uncomfortable. Of course now I’ve worn them I can’t return :( also noticed the lining around the top of the welly looks so messy like it’s been cut unevenly with scissors and just stuck on. I actually had to recheck the site I got them from to check they weren’t fake. Really disheartening and my boyfriend was really happy to win his ‘Aigle are much better ‘ debate! Good points: the lining did keep my winter toes a lot warmer and I really loved the dark green!”

“An investment, for certain - but you will not be disappointed. Warm and comfortable, lightweight, and easy on the eye to boot (pardon the pun). They haven’t left my feet since they came (super speedily), and will likely not leave my feet again until I need a new pair, whenever that may be!”

“Really pleased with these, I hope they will last. Sizing is spot on, I don’t have to put on special socks for them but still have enough room for a regular pair of thick socks (like for walking boots). The calf width is also perfect for me; I tried other brands and they were way too wide. Very comfortable to walk in but the rubber is quite flexible so there’s not much ankle support when walking through an extra hilly/muddy path.”

“I upgraded from my Vierzon jersey lined wellies and I’m glad I did, as they are perfect wellies for jobs on the farm in the colder weather. They keep my feet nice and warm and feel nice and sturdy.”
