Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Just moved to the UK and realised my boots weren't up to the task of walking my dog in the neverending mud. These have been great, feet are dry, the grip is really good and I can just hose them down with the dog when I get home. I love that they are very soft/flexible and have the adjustable feature, which makes them much more comfortable than standard wellies. I normally take a 10-10.5, and I found the 10s a little loose but 9 too tight. so I'd say they do come up large and a few more mid sizes would be good. nothing an insole can't fix (and make a little more supportive anyway)”

“The boots are a very good fit on the leg, no more gaping , thanks to a very efficient gripper adjuster. Thick sole cushion ones feet. The thin lining keeps feet a comfortable temperature.”

“They look great, & feel good - until ... the socks ruck, and (after 5miles of walking) leave sore blsiters behind. Shame ... Why does Le Chameau design the boot with that annoying sticking interior heel? It causes havoc to an otherwise great looking welly”

“I love Chameau wellies however this is the 4th pair I’ve bought in almost as many years, the other pairs have split at the sole so I’m getting more and more despondent with the quality but I love that, unlike any other brand, they are immediately comfortable, with no ‘wearing in’ blisters, a huge bonus as a professional dog walker. So if these go the same way I’ll go back to the drawing board, maybe 4th time lucky! I have added pics for clarity…”
