Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Good fit, as expected. Dark green colour a bit lurid but OK. Only caveat: I shall be using the Iris boots for gardening, and the sole is not quite as stout as my previous pair (over 20 years old), and the boots are slightly less comfortable when squatting, which I do a lot of the time. I expect them to last at least 20 years, we shall see.”
