Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These boots are perfect for my narrow feet and weirdly long second toes! Great ankle flexibility - so easy to walk in. I’ve just bought my second pair in pretty cornflower blue. I wear them almost every day and they last a long time.”

“They survived Glastonbury! I've been going to Glastonbury for nearly 20 years, which means I've gone through a LOT of wellies! These were by far the most comfortable wellies I have ever worn. We averaged 12 miles of walking per day (plus lots of dancing!) and my feet never ached at all. It's worth mentioning that I was also carrying our 3-month-old baby in a carrier, so there was added weight to the walking! These feel so much softer to wear than the other brands I've tried and I didn't even break them in! I can't comment on their longevity but I'm hopeful they will last. My previous pair of Hunters only lasted 3 years before they cracked and leaked, which was extremely disappointing. I'm hoping these Le Chameau wellies will last much longer. We'll see how they fare on long dog walks. So far, I have no complaints, they are excellent.”

“Really stylish and comfortable. Don’t imagine they’re suited to heavy use or long exposure to deeper puddles. Work well for spring/summer showers and muddy-ness”

“I have high hopes of these - after having had many previous wellies of other brands that split above the ankle after a few months wear. Granted, I do wear them every day, twice daily walks through rough uneven ground with my dogs. These feel different - the rubber is soft and pliable and - I hope - causes less stress at the ankle. They fit true to size and feel comfortable. The tartan lining keeps my legs warm. Delivery was excellent - within a couple of days.”

“Very comfortable with a sturdy sole. The ankle is quite narrow and the wellie flexible, hence a boot jack is essential. They look great but I would not recommend them for convenient work wear.”
