Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The colour of the boots was lovely but were they worth the price tag? Not sure that they were. I returned them in favour of the Giverny boots. Giverny were a little more expensive but felt more robust.”

Thank you for your feedback. Our Iris are our lightest ever style, with a single density sole, hence feeling less robust than the Giverny. They are handcrafted and 100% tested, as are all our boots, so they certainly carry the Le Chameau stamp of quality. Thank you for choosing Le Chameau.
