Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“My fault really but I seem to have ended up with an expensive wellie that I don't really like. I ordered the Iris boots in vert clair in 6 1/2 but I wanted to try a 6 and you were not getting them until mid March so, at your recommendation I tried another stockist. However, I find that vert clair is a much more vivid colour than it looks online and I'd now prefer the dark green. They don't offer free returns though so, because of the expensive postage, I've kept them and worn them. I'm hoping the colour wil fade? Beware the colour is much more vivid than you think it will be”
