“This is the easiest to fly and handlaunch jet I have. I put flight condition for takeoff of about 2mm up. The then turn it off once it has 20ft of altitude. Nice and stabs and not too fast. Slows down nicely for landing. I reenforced hatch and underside with tape.”
“This had to be the best maiden flight for any jet I've owned! I followed the recommendations - 1800 battery set all the way to the front. Also went with the 5/16 throws and 20-25% expo. Flew absolutely great - hand launched by the front fuselage just in front of the intakes and tossed pretty firmly about 20 degrees up. Only complaint is the instructions are very lacking but given the simplicity of the model assembly is easy regardless.”

“I passed over this a few times, but considered that over 300 positive reviews meant something. This is a fun little EDF. Not exactly relaxing to fly – with its short little wing it has a fantastic roll rate – even with low throws and high expos. Even so it flies very stable and doesn’t need a gyro to stabilize it. Looks really good in the air, even with the wheels on. I added the wheels because I figured it would have a higher likelihood of surviving the first few flights on wheeled takeoff as opposed to hand-launching, especially since all I have are heavier 2200 Mah batteries. With those and the added weight and drag of the gear it isn’t a rocket, it’s fast enough but can only do about 30 degree climb. The optional gear is glued on, hence not removable. Between the bends in the wire and soft tires, has a good amount of shock absorbency. The nylon hinges are very nice. I cut a section out of the battery tray to drop the receiver to the bottom of the fuselage – otherwise it was too tight with the 2200 battery. Got about 8 successful flights before it inexplicably went out of control with Admiral receiver twice. The 1st time it recovered itself, the 2nd time it went in. So much for durable EPO foam. Repaired but not so pretty anymore. There are a lot of bent-nose EDF’s at the club.A few hints: 1. Remove all paint from glued surfaces or risk your wings falling off.2. Insert carbon fiber rod through fuselage into each wing, and into each horizontal stab.3. Although you can fly it slow, you need to keep the power up on turns or it will fall out of the sky.4. The bright colors help with visibility, but it has the same color scheme on the top and bottom, and it is a very small airplane, so don’t let it get too far downwind or you can easily loose orientation – the great killer of R/C airplanes. 5. Recommend using a lighter 1600 or 1800 battery and hand launch w/o the landing gear. That said I think hand launches on this are tricky, so good luck. Great value for less than $100.”
