“As told by Motion, this is a good first jet when a gyro receiver is used. Flies smooth and easy to handle with the 1600 3s battery. Good glide and easy to land. I used the Admiral 6 channel gyro stabilized receiver with the Panic feature programmed in it. All went well on my maiden flight.”
“I bought one of these about a year ago. Maiden-ed it just last month. I added rudder control and put the gear on. I used the recommended 1600mA battery and tried to launch off of short grass. No dice. Had someone at the field hand launch it and it flew very nice with the Admiral R600 gyro receiver. installed. Corners flat with rudder servo and is quite docile. Run time is short 3 minutes and battery was hot on landing so bigger one is in order. Had two more successful flights and then tried to hand launch it myself and it nosed it. Repaired minor damage and had a buddy hand launch again. All was well and it flew great. All in all a good little plane and a good first jet but needs pavement or flat hard surface to take off from. It will land on short grass but the nose is stressed by it.”

“I wouldd liek to say this airplane flies like a dream, beccause it looks great in the box. However, the airplanes I buy are usally for club raffles, and someone else assembles and flies them. Therefore the answers below should be considered with this in mind..”

“I found the recommended cg to be slightly to far back on the first flight Using the landing gear with a 2200 mah battery I added 3/4 oz to the nose cone and it flew much more stable Good little flyer now”

“This is my first EDF flyer and has quickly become a favorite. I reviewed many comments regarding difficulty hand launching but with the proper CG I have found it easy and reliable to launch using full thrust. I use the Admiral 3S 1800 pushed all the way forward to rear of the nose cone. I removed the front half of the battery tray to allow sliding the battery over the front gear mount and use cut foam, to secure it in place.A light toss in a level attitude and it flies away. My balance point is right at the aileron servo leads where they enter to fuselage. The 3S allows three minute flight duration with 80-100% thrust. Fun to fly and now have to F8 Crusader and about to order the MIG 15. Motion RC offers a wonderful model selection to choose from with excellent service.”

“I purchased this jet because of the wing shape, I figured it would be pretty forgiving. Installation was pretty straight forward. I was a little nervous about the lack of a wing spar, but the wing loading is so low that this isn't an issue. There was a small gap between the wing and fuse that I plastered with 5 min epoxy (might have gone overboard). Quick tip: install your control horns before you assemble the jet.Installed landing gear, Admiral RX with gyro, Admiral 1600 mah 3s. I removed the speed control and re-zip tied it to the underside of the plywood, allowing me to place my receiver/gyro closer to the CG. Programmed DX8 with flaperons and headed to the field (fabric runway). I used the recommended throws and trimmed the nose wheel to track straight. Throttled up, and let it build up speed. You need a pretty tame angle on the climb out to let the airspeed build. This little bugger flies great and tracks straight (you don't need a gyro), didn't need much trim. I really like a little flaperons on landing (might be unnecessary, but we have a large tree that requires a relatively steep descent). I wish it had a rudder as it's impossible to steer in a crosswind until the nose wheel comes down (non-issue for hand tossing).Overall a great little jet. I think I might buy another and mod it a little. I have lots of airplanes, this one always makes it to the field.”

“If u get it with the wheel set you will need a true runway will not fly off grass front wheel assembly bends to easily (shaft ) u need to make the cg just a hair nose heavy use the under side opening we’re the ail. Wires come out as your cg or just a hair forward of that you will have to put some weight in nose before installing front wheel assembly you need to remove battery tray to fit an 1800 perfect size”
