“My new F9F files really well with a 2200mHh 3 cell battery (of the appropriate size) pushed all of the way forward. CG in the manual is NOT correct and they do not seem to want to change it. I crashed my first F9F to oblivion because of that. This one files great as a ducted fan jet should. Sounds pretty good too. Ease of operation is set to difficult below because of the manual CG issue. Also they skipped Step 2, attach the control horns.”

“All in all, good value for the money.Definitely no t a plane for a first time pilot. Only complaints have to do with the instruction manual. Although thr control horns and crevices are supplied, the manual does not address them. This could be a big problem for a first time flyer.The biggest complaint is the published balance. With the plane balanced per the manual it is definitely tail heavy and requires fast reflexes to overcome the pitch-up on launch.This isn't a park flyer plane. I'm using a 3sx2200 maHr pack and get easy 5 minute flights with throttle management. With a thrust to weight ratio of 0.97, she won't go vertical from level flight but will loop easily from a slight dive. Axial rolls are very easy to achieve. I programmed some expo for the ailerons to eliminate the twitchiness. She can be fast, probably about 60 mph, so she gets small real quick.”

“I'm having some issues with hand launch, but that is more due to my hand than the airplane.I am ordering the wheel kit.Once its in the air, its a great flying little EDF. Smooth and predictable.It is sensitive to CG change. Place the battery 1/4 inch forward of back from best CG can mean 20 clicks of elevator trim change from high speed to low speed.I am using 2200 mah 3S from a different source (sorry Motion)Plenty of power for 4 1/2 min flights, mostly at full throttle, typically with 3.7 v/cell left, so it could g longer, but that could significantly reduce how many cycle you get from the liPos.I inserted long toothpicks as I glued on the wings and tail-planes to guarantee they are securely tied to the model. Low added weight and makes me feel better.”
