“The Freewing airplane F18E is beautiful and well constructed. Flies great with one problem, reduce Aileron throw with high rate at 15mm and low rate at 10mm!”
“As with all the Freewing planes I own (6), the F18 is beautiful. Construction was easy with some minor sanding of the wing roots to get a good tight fit. I fly off a rough grass field, and it takes a significant roll to get airborn. On the 2nd takeoff the main landing gear pulled out. This is a very weak area of the plane. After two repairs I decided to reinforce the area significatly. I put a 1/4 inch thick hardwood disk recessed into the foam on each side of the landing gear insert and ******* a large popsicle stick over the landing gear insert. Many flights later I have not had another failure. Would be a definite 4 stars because of the weak designed landing gear, however they do state that this plane is designed for paved runway. In the air the plane is gorgeous. No issues what so ever. Love the Freewing lineup and love dealing with Motion.”
“I just received this plane in the mail from Motion RC yesterday. I paired it with the Admiral RX600SP rx (i love this RX) and the recommended battery 4s 2200 pro...man...I could not wait to maiden this plane and did not want to wait another day (15 mph winds today) Let me tell you that this plane was tracking! Flew great. Fought the wind like it was on a mission! Handled great! Landed safely, Love it. And it sounds awesome. Wish it had retracts...but for the price and performance ,Ill take it.
