I took the aircraft out for a maiden, and it flew very well, needed some trimming, but other than that it went great. The second flight rolls around, and I lose control, unable to pitch and dive into the ground, completely destroying the nose of the aircraft. Upon closer inspection, some of the foam holding the tube where it had been glued came off (The foam on the glue, not the glue) from the stresses of regular flying, meaning the pushrod flexed/bent instead of moving the elevator, resulting in a partial loss of control. So when I rolled it to come back around, it went into a spiral crash, and severely damaging the fuselage. I took documentation photos, to send to Motion RC, before reading that their warranty does not cover products that have been flown. An exciting day, turned bad because of poor quality and warranty.

I’ve had this plane for over two years and I figured it would be time for a review. Looks great but it’s probably the least enjoyable edf in my fleet. The controls are very mushy so most maneuvers do not look clean and it barely has enough power to do a loop. The noise it makes is also unpleasant compared to other jets. If you are looking for a 64mm jet I would go the lippisch.

The over all fit and finish of the plane is excellent this is a great buy! I will be upgrading the fan but other than that it's good to go, I will be buying more of the Freewing Toss jets for sure.

I haven’t had an opportunity to fly this F-8 yet, but it looked beautiful after I took it out of the box. Nice details and appearance.

I thought this was a cool plane to start into the Jet realm, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting it off the ground. 1st you tube I saw said to give it a little down flaps on the Ailerons to help with lift and up the elevator a tad, did that , threw it and it rolled left and crashed. 2nd time I put the Ailerons level and made sure the plane was square and checked the CG all good, another said use 95% power did that and it went straighter but stalled and crashed again. 3rd time I thought it was me and had my friend who's very good try it and pretty much the same effect climb and stall. I just wish I could buy a plane and get through the maiden without crashing.

I really like the F8. But. I went through all the set up correctly and watched a couple of You Tubes including the Motion RC one. One of the you tubes says to set a little down Ailerons on both sides to form a little flap. I put the Correct 3s 2200 battery in and threw it and it torqued left and went straight down and I banged up the nose foam a little. Second attempt I put the Ailerons level and made sure the battery was back all the way and didn't go full throttle and it went up to fast and stalled and crashed again breaking the canopy foam in half and according the nose a little. I'm an Intermediate flyer and it's a shame that a little more instruction could be given, such as how much Throttle to give it or better set up info to produce a good first flight or warnings that it could torque left upon takeoff. I also made sure the wings and tail were square. Just hate seeing a nice looking jet have crumples on the first couple of flights. ThanksMike
