“I now have multiple flights on this bird now and at the end of the day my first thought that pops in my head it that I have lost $500 dollars. This plane does NOT like even the slightest cross wind. The approach and land must be textbook perfect with NO room for error. This plane is not forgiving at all. With the complexity of the plane, the gyro, the unreliability of the wing sweep mechanism. I do not recommend this plane and really wish I could go back in time UNCLICK the buy button. I love Freewing and I love Motion RC But I doubt i will ever fly this plane again and I don't want to sell it because I don't want a new enemy. No I will srtip it down for parts and keep its shell on a shelf to look at because it is a great looking model just a very poor flying one.”

“Bad experience at 6300ft flying field elevation. The aircraft is beautiful and very well built. High quality and many issues were addressed from the 80mm (that I have and still fly) that transitions into this 64mm model. However there is some design flaw somewhere in this model. It flies good with or without the wings swept but it has a bad, and what I consider a relatively high, stall speed. I found this to be the case in the air and while landing. The landing speed is really fast to begin with (even faster then the 80mm F-14) and then it stalls out and snaps when it should settle. Needless to say I only got to fly it twice. No successful landings on a paved runway surface. Those factors mentioned above spelled doom for this airframe. Even with smooth touchdown's it was at too High of a speed to keep it on the surface. It would hit a bump and go airborne again and start bouncing to a tragic end. After repairs were made from the first landing tragedy I tried again and still no joy. On the second flight I decided mid-flight that if I successfully landed it I would get rid of it. Reason for this is flying in wind exacerbated the stall problems this plane has. Turning on the base leg with about half throttle it stopped flying and snapped like it does when it stalls and I had to go full throttle to recover. There is plenty of power which is this planes saving Grace but I think it would be better suited for grass ops. So this one is a fail for me personally and I do regret this purchase but that is my personal opinion and experience. Yours may be way better and I hope it is.”

“Well designed and beautiful plane. Assembles easily. Flies smoothly with the stabilizer on but not for beginners. Has nasty stall tendency to drop a wing if slowed down too much, especially during landing. The manual recommended flap settings of 11mm and 19mm are not adequate to provide drag to slow the plane on landing. I use 20mm for takeoff and 35mm for landing with some up elevator mix, not down as recommended in the manual. Suggest Freewing use low bounce wheels since my plane tends to bounce up easily on our paved runway unless its greased in every time.”

“Ho acquistato il modello F-14 Tomcat Twin 64mm - PNP e devo dire che la qualità costruttiva, così come il dettaglio delle riproduzioni è veramente strepitoso. Bellissimo in tutto. L'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta consiste nel fatto che il manuale, in formato .PDF digitalizzato, non è tradotto in lingua italiana. Non ne capisco le motivazioni, così come trovo assurdo che, essendo digitalizzato e protetto, me ne impedisce la traduzione usando un semplice traduttore. Questa cosa è veramente vergognosa e la trovo una vera discriminazione verso noi italiani.”

“I have not flown mine yet but looking forward to a calm day to maiden her. I have seen several great maiden flights and some not so great. Some confusion on CG and Gyro connections but I think I have found good information in the RC forums. Definitely a beautiful model.”
