Even if this is not a beginners ducted fan jet, its very responsive and stable. Had lots of fun on my maiden flight.

This is one fun jet to fly. Only 1 hour assembly and you’re off. It sounds fantastic in the air. Tracks straight on takeoff and lands smoothly. Just keep a little throttle until you are almost about to touch down. I have many freewing jets and this just became one of my favorites. The 80mm EDF has always been the sweet spot for me, only wish there was a 90mm larger version.Regards,

I’ve flown my Cougar several times now and I will have to say it’s one of the best looking and flying jets that Freewing has produced. The quality of this jet is outstanding and it flies as good as it looks. The new 12 blade fan and in runner motor are outstanding!! Landing gear struts are really fantastic quality and are already painted white which I wish they would do on all the military and Blue Angels, Thunderbirds jets. This is at the top of the list of the Freewing Jets ! Great Job Motion RC keep ‘em coming!

Normally I start with the “pros and cons”, however, on this plane I can’t say I found a con. The manufacturing keeps getting better after each new plane. This one is a winner. Starting with the gyro and the thrust reversing. The set up with Spektrum went about as smooth as you could want. Once plugged in the automatic setup took care of any possible errors. The only thing needed was reverse on a couple flying surfaces. Talking about surfaces the paint and the foam sure have improved on this model. Not one area had any defects. The detail was fantastic and the gear doors fit like a glove. I now have had 9 flights on the bird and actually it flies better without the gyro. But, that is a preference, some may disagree….so be it. The plane has plenty of speed and flies extremely well at slow speed as well. The rudder is large enough that it will do a nice knife edge. The landing without flaps are smooth and easy. It does like a bit of headwind at about 3mph. I tried to do a high alpha on landings but have not been all that successful. I have flown with all armament and none and the plane just flies well no matter what. Flight time with a 6s CHNL 50a 5000 is about 2 1/2 minutes and landing with about 3.83 after that time. It flies well with a 90C as well but I did notice that the connector seemed a bit warm. It really didn’t need the 90C battery.Otherwise, this is one very nice plane and I will probably be purchasing another two or three in the near future. Good Job MRC and Freewing.Mako Smith

Beautiful plane and quality consistent with other models. This was my first model with the gyro. Gyro was misconfigured from factory and crashed 20 seconds after takeoff. Totally uncontrollable. Purchased new plane and controller -totally different gyro settings.
