Even though it’s been around for a while, the Freewing F9F-8 Cougar still holds its own against the newest jets at the field. There’s something about the Super Scale lines and that classic swept-wing profile that looks incredibly realistic in the air. While the design isn't brand new, the addition of the gyro makes a massive difference, smoothing out the bumps and giving it that "heavy iron" feel during low passes. It’s a rock-solid, predictable performer that proves you don’t always need the latest release to have a top-tier flying experience.

While I haven’t flown her yet, this bird is stunning. I’m sure like all my other (47) MRC Jets, she’ll fly great.

Easy flyer and it is very smooth. Highly recommend it for a beginner EDF. 1 hour build with 4 screws to install. Wings clip on.

And it’s still my go-to jet. I love how extremely precise it flies and how excessively powerful it is. The quality is great and I have over 10 hours flying with it and nearly 140 flights. Over grass I do recommend to take the main gear doors off, they’ll rip off eventually even on the lowest grass. I have my CG about 2-2,5cm back. She’s very touchy then but with a gyro she tames and it will allow for much less up elevator and a neutral dive. Would buy another unless Freewing makes an 80mm A7 Corsair II!
