“Freewing F9F Cougar from MotionRC EuropeMijn model kwam onbeschadigd in de juiste verpakking aan. Dinsdags besteld en woensdags de levering, dus supersnel! Na het uitpakken en checken met de onderdelenlijst heb ik eerst de uitlaat zwart geverfd. Na het grondig lezen van de manual voor het model en de manual voor de gyro, ging de samenbouw makkelijk en zeer voorspoedig. Alle onderdelen passen perfect op- en aan elkaar en dat maakt dat dit model een zeer goede keuze was. Het afstellen en koppelen aan de zenderfuncties was zoals altijd bij een nieuw model: goed uitkijken of de roeren de juiste kant op werken en de gyro niet de “verkeerde kant” op corrigeert.Het enige punt van kritiek is dat de gyro alleen geprogrammeerd kan worden door de aanschaf van een programmeerkaart. Dat moet ik nog doen, maar de gyro werkt zonder deze mogelijkheid ook goed. Het vliegen met het model is bijzonder goed en ik heb zelden zo’n lekker vliegend model gehad in mijn 50 jarige modelvliegervaring, ook met de volledige lading aan raketten en tanks onder de vleugel. Goed gedaan Freewing!My model arrived undamaged in the correct packaging. Ordered on Tuesday and delivered on Wednesday, so that is what one can call “fast”! After unpacking and checking the parts list, I first painted the exhaust black. After thoroughly reading the manual for the model and the manual for the gyro, assembly went easily and very smoothly. All parts fit together perfectly and that makes this model a very good choice. Adjusting and linking to the transmitter functions was as always with a new model: paying close attention to whether the rudders work in the right direction and the gyro does not correct in the "wrong direction".The only point of criticism is that the gyro can only be programmed by purchasing a programming card. I have yet to do that, but the gyro also works well without this option. The model flies very well and I have rarely had such a nice flying model in my 50 years of model flying experience, even with the full load of rockets and tanks under the wing. Well done Freewing!”

“Fly's great!! It will take off on its own if you let it, flys on rails! Nice rolls 100+ mph smooth landings with a little practice. Quality and detail are spot on. I'd suggest this to any experienced pilot.”

“Amazing jet. Fast delivery from MotionRC, assembly went well. Flew a maiden and two more flights to get familiar with the Couger last week. No issues at all, very little trim, slows down nicely and plenty of power. Reverse thrust is great for slowing down on our smooth paved runway. This will be one of my favorite jets to fly! “Plane went together quickly and smoothly. The quick disconnects for the wings is a nice feature. However, There was some things that I think might need changing. In order to take full advantage of the supplied gyro you should use a 9 channel Rx. I removed my gyro because it came preprogrammed with On, trainer mode and rate mode with no way to select off without purchasing the programmer. I only had a 8 ch Rx on hand so I could not adjust the gains. There was no way I was gonna fly this without being able to at least turn the gyro off, or very least, adjust the gains. I used a gyro receiver and the plane was PERFECT!. Just wish they would have the gyro defaults as Off, stablized and level.”

“The F9F-8 Cougar is an excellent overall jet. Flys fast, but can fly very slow if you like. Very stable with the onboard flight controller/gyro. Build quality is excellent and fast. The attention to detail is amazing. Sounds absolutely amazing too. In addition, I added the afterburner which is a must. Looks fantastic. Very bright. You can even see it in the daylight.. high quality and easy installation. Motion RC hit it out of the park with the jet and afterburner.”
