“I have had 17 Freewing jets from 64mm to 90mm. In my opinion the Cougar is far and away the best. Best looking...best sounding...best flying of all of them. Although all of the Freewing planes are great. I love the quick connect wings. Maiden flight was perfect. No trim was required. I fly from a rough grass field, and for not having trainling link gear it ground handles fine. Lift off required less than the Avanti. My only critique would be the disconnects for the wings being on the top surface...but who cares. You can't see them in the air. I love the Cougar...it has quickly become my number 1”

“Flew great and was fast. Sportscar like BUTone elevator servo was not functioning right out of the boxMotion did the right thing and sent me a new servo free of charge. After calculating the torque on the elevator servo at full throw and top speed I decided to buy two new higher torque servos for the elevators. Little scary how easily the servos came out of the elevator recesses they were glued into. Made sure the new ones were glued solidly into well prepared recesses on the elevators.”

“Finally flown the F9F-8 Cougar, all good, nice performance, flies stable, landings slow & uneventful. Was a good choice to buy .As per several other Freewing airplanes, carbon tubes are too short, also on this airplane the tube was short by 35mm, which had to be replaced, as mentioned to Freewing before on other airplanes.”

“This jet is awesome!!! I have been enjoying this every time I come out to fly. Awesome flying jet and the reverse thrust helps not to overshoot the runway after touchdown. Definitely a must have!!!”
