“I've been waiting a long time for a 90mm F18 EDF Jet like this and Freewing has delivered! The build quality and assembly are very good. Can't wait for the maiden flight!”

“The jet went together easy as all the Freewing jet I own. I set it up just as the manual says and had very little trim on my maiden flight. It's a beautiful jet in the air and on the ground. Looking forward to many more flights with it. It has a tendency to draw people to ask about it and get a closer look. Like with all my Freewing jets, you get a great thrill for the money and in this hobby that's what it's all about!! Brad”

“I have been waiting years and years for a foam F/A-18C Hornet Blue Angel to hit the market in a large size with excellent scale fidelity and performance and this one is it. These 90mm Freewing New Gen jets seem to get lighter and lighter which translates to beautiful performance in the air. Build was extremely easy and low stress with perfect fitment. Unfortunately mine crashed on the maiden from an unknown cause. It may have been a gremlin in the elevator servo but I cannot say with certainty. I was able to repair it and have flown several times since without any issue. I refuse to give anything less than 5 stars because despite the crash, these things can happen in this hobby from time-to-time and this model still deserves its 5 star rating in my book. With proper CG, throws and expo to your liking, she flies like a dream. Landings on half flaps are a non-event, greasers every single time. Pushrod length is wrong in the US portion of the hard copy manual but the Chinese section has them right so do be mindful of that (the online version on the product page is correct). Some are choosing to bypass the Blue Box for all the control surfaces and just using it for gear and retracts. I have yet to do that and have been enjoying successful flights since the maiden. This model is gorgeous and a MUST HAVE if you are like me and love the F/A-18 and the Blue Angels specifically.”

“Hello All,95% of my flying is out of a field that is 5500 feet in elevation when the temperatures get above 75 to 80 now were talking and 7500 to 8000 MSL— Equivalent altitude on engine and aircraft performance. Normally, us up here at higher altitude find that most aircraft are designed very well for sea level, but not necessarily for higher altitudes.. this one on the other hand has power to weight ratio excellent for altitude even at higher temperatures, Like we are experiencing now. Kudos on the design and power set up for the Freewing Blue Angels 90mm F/A-18C PNP. I wanted a flapperon set up on the aircraft so I am not using the wire harnesses from the blue box to the wing I just routed my own cables separate cables for ailerons, separate for flaps. If that capability was included in the blue box cables I couldn’t see it so I just went with a totally separate wiring. My bench setup & check see time was Extensive. I checked out all the servos as I read some reports that people are having problems with servos not the case for me these servos are “perfect”... so far (3 flights). This is one of the best out of the box plug and play Freewing products that I purchased and I have purchased several. The color and the graphics are excellent.One- note be careful even with the yellow tips you’re flying a dark silhouette aircraft, for all but close in passes. True to the full scale F 18 this model will hold a very high alpha upon approach and flair to touch-down...it is a flying body!Enjoy!!Lee”

“I was in the first prepay, boy was I excited when it came early. Jet and finish are perfect, a little problem when I started putting it together. 15 minutes to put together, put receiver in, bind to transmitter, great. Elevator works, nothing else, 4 hours later rudder plugged in box, ailerons not right ,wrong place on board, motor and fan not plugged in at all. Flying this week, we will see. I think motion owes me a 6000 battery for my troubles.”
