OK so I got this plane as a gift and I was very excited since it was my first large RC plane and my favorite ww2 fighter. Assembly only took about 2 hours the only thing that was a but confusing was the wiring as it differed from the instructions. I have so far flown it twice, when taking off make sure you get a lot of speed before you pull up because it may tip stall at low speeds, once your in the air it flies like dream it can cruse at 40% throttle and can due a ton of aerobatics. Landing is were i had my problem, I live in NJ so there isn't many places to fly and so I have to land in an empty parking lot, my first landing was great but when I was on my second landing approach I didn't know how far the plane was from me (since I'm used to flying smaller planes) and I clipped a tree. I was really disappointed (at myself) because it was my first day out and I was loving the plane but I'm gonna need a new wing and elevators. But overall I love the plane and recommend it to anyone with at least intermediate experience, thankfully motionRC has all parts available so I may be able to fix her before I go back to collage.

The split flaps are warped out of the box so they are not flush to the wing when extended all the way. Customer service was great. The left flap servo was shorted out of the box. They replaced it immediately

After getting plane, I had to put washers, under the retract mounting plate, to make retracts work, the plane doesn’t look like motions photos, I thought it was terribly ugly, it fly’s ok, has a very high stall speed, I think it due to its lack of surface area, on those long skinny wings, on my first takeoff, it stalled on takeoff, don’t use to much elevator, make sure you get plenty of ground speed, before giving any elevator input, once you get it up, it flys good, as long as you keep your speed up, especially when turning, on landings you have to fly it to the ground, it will not glide, I ended up stalling mine on approach to’ landing, and broke the fuselage in half, I actually wasn’t to sad, the plane didn’t impress me, I have the Freewing FW-190, it is three times the plane of this one, save your mind net and buy the FW-190, it is the best flying of all of my warbirds!!

I think my model was put together on a Monday but after a few issues I got it together and the end result was worth the effort. If you have a servo tester, use it before you plug into the blue box because it won't work with the blue box. I may ditch the blue box, I have a less is more philosophy with electronics. For those who wish to paint the spiral, use acrylic paint and a toothpick, yes a toothpick. Use painter tape on one side just to get the angle. Once you have the general outline use a toothpick to scrape away the rough edges. All you have to do after that is lay it on a flat surface and as you spin it around you will see where to add or scrape away paint using the toothpick. That is where the acrylic comes in, you can't do that with enamel. Then a light spray of polycrylic to keep it and you're done.

Excellent plane from start to finish! Easy to assemble but I highly recommend not using the blue box that comes with the plane. In my opinion it is something to just go wrong in the air and potentially cause a crash. Instead of using that box just use 3 way connectors for the servos and everything works perfectly and it’s a solid connection without worrying if the stupid circuit board on the blue box will malfunction at some point and send your beauty into the ground. Other than that the plane is awesome and very unique the way it flies through the air. It is so stable and smooth I can’t get enough. This is by far the best plane I have flown so far and if I were you I wouldn’t hesitate on buying this beauty cause you will love it too!

Love the plane and once trimmed it is a dream to fly, I would recommend lower throw rates though because its a handful otherwise. It is smaller than the wingspan would lead you to believe and the lack of contrasting colors top and bottom make it tough to keep orientated when far away or in low light conditions, but if you keep it close not only is it a beaut in the air it flies very strait and true. Small tail = lots of right rudder and a SLOW application of throttle on take off or else. Glides good, but needs full up elevator once the mains are on the ground during landing. The CG needs to be at the most slightly nose heavy, but preferably neutral in order for it not to land on the prop. I fly it primarily with 4s 35-50c batteries and it's a rocket with the latter even with the 3 blade prop, however, I have found 5000 mah batteries exacerbate the nose heaviness of the plane even when pushed to the firewall so 3-3500 mah is what I stick with. Overall a great plane with nice detail for the $$$.
