FlightLine Focke-Wulf Ta 152H 1300mm (51") Wingspan - PNP Reviews

4.5 Rating 98 Reviews
I finally got a chance to madden yesterday, although the conditions were not ideal. The conditions were very windy. Nevertheless, I took off and the plane was airborne at half throttle (head wind). The trim was right on and only needed 2-chicks of up elevator. I really had to fight the wind though. I took her up high and engaged the gyro. Wow! The plane settled down and flying was just great. I used an Admiral 2500, 50 C battery and after 6-minutes, I still had over 80% power left. I had to add abut 1 oz. of tail weight for the recommended CG. Landing was without flaps and with the gyro engaged, the landing was very smooth. This was one time I am glad I had the gyro. I used it for subsequent flights and had no issues with the wind. I did not used the little blue box, but instead, used the FMS back box and the fit was just right. Flying was conservation as the wind conditions were not right for anything else. This is a very good flying plane with good flying characteristics.

Quite the opposite experience here. While the plane looks beautiful - nothing fit perfectly out the box. From badly mounted control horns to badly fitting wings, etc. etc. I went out of my way to get it all build straight and true. She flies like a dream. No high speed stall issues as some people reported. Also, zero issues with the blue box as some reported and if anything forget about the Y-Harness and blue box and just set the plane up with dual ailerons and dual flaps and save yourself any servo centering or travel issues. Once you set it up right, it is a true pleasure flying it.

Its litterally the best built plane Ive owned. Everything fits perfectly off the box. However, Foam spare parts are a different story, They do need a little work for them to come in place perfectly. DO NOT use the control box, get a few Y cables instead as mine failed during take off.Motion RC went out of their way to help me repair my plane. Excellent customer service.Plane flies awesomely and its really fast on 4S off the box. If you want more scale feeling, go with 3S. I found it easier to land with no flaps. It can do quite a few acrobatics but make no mistake, its a war plane and it certainly behaves like so. So be careful pulling sudden tricks 3 feet from the ground.

I have not completed the build yet. However, the quality and attention to details are what I expected from flightLine. The foam seems very sturdy. I will do a follow up review when the model is completed and after the maiden flight.

Like everyone else says, this plane is beautiful, Motion RC is great, the plane came in 5days, it went together well and the decals are a 10 ! BUT ! Be very careful and DO NOT trust the Little Blue Box. They call it a multi port box. It is prone to failure and will cause you serious headaches. On my maiden , I had a loose servo arm on the Elevator and the flight had to be cut short. On landing the Multi port box failure showed up in the landing gear. The gear froze half down at a 45* angle to the wing. A hard landing tore the other gear from its foam support. Epoxy and it's fine now. tighten the servo arm , its fine. BUT, the Little Blue Box failure , is a crash waiting to happen. It will happen again .... So, Motion RC came up with a great idea. Trash it, you do not need it ! Use Y harness on the Flaps, Gear and Ailerons, then direct connect to your Receiver. The gets rid of the problem .... Now I can maiden it again. I'll see how it flies then.
