FlightLine Focke-Wulf Ta 152H 1300mm (51") Wingspan - PNP Reviews

4.5 Rating 98 Reviews
Overall a nice plane. The fit and finish could be a bit better though. For instance, there is quite a bit of flashing on the edges of many pieces. It can be removed, but you will be left with bare white foam. The flaps on my plane do not sit flush with the wing and the plastic hinges have a tendency to pop loose. A word of caution! This plane will do the death roll on takeoff if you fail to apply substantial right rudder and right aileron to counter the motor torque. . Smooth application of power is essential too. Full up elevator deflection is also needed on takeoff and while taxing on grass. Otherwise the plane has a rendancy to Jose over. MRC product support recommends installing the Hobby Eagle A3-L gyro to help with all of these issues. I've only flown it on 3S and can say it does OK. Not a speed demon by any means. Gonna try 4S once I get the Hobby Eagle A3-L gyro installed.

As pretty much everyone has mentioned, this a great plane! Fantastic finish and flies very smoothly. All parts went together very nicely. Absolutely no problems at all in the build. I used a 3300mAh 4s pushed almost all the way to the back to get the correct cg with a bit of a nose down attitude. Receiver is mounted towards the front and I unscrewed the battery tray to access the esc and then extended the esc further back since the wiring was long and allowed this to be done. Take offs are quick and no need for the flaps because she'll pop right up. Landing are no problems and she comes in slowly with the flaps down. Maiden flight was uneventful except for when dropping the gear down for landing and only the left side came down. Had to do a few passes and cycle the gear several times before right landing gear came down. Haven't had the problem since, but did create a bit of an “Ahhh s***!” moment for the maiden flight! Detail wise, the stickers that come with the plane are good. Basically pull the bottom part of the sticker away and align the sticker for placement and then place on. Rub it well and then carefully pull back the clear glossy top and you'll have a very nice sticker with a matt finish showing. Be careful because if you try to readjust the sticker you'll most likely pull the paint off. I tried using a bit of warm water with a drop or two of dish soap to assist with placement on one sticker, but found the sticker really didn't want to stick at all. It eventually did after it dried, but it kept pulling up until it dried out. Just eyeballed all the other stickers before placing them and that worked fine with one exception. The yellow and red stickers for the tail stripes are a pain to get on correctly because of their size and trying to have them go around the fuselage and align properly. When I was done with them they had wrinkles in them, were a bit off, and decided that would not do. Pulled them off and just painted the yellow and red stripes on. If I had to do it again I would either leave the tail stripes off or just get some colored 3M electrical tape or similar tape and put that around the tail for the yellow and red stripe. For the bottom of the wing, as someone else had mentioned, the four black servos are exposed and not covered up by matching colored tape with the wing. Those four black squares do take away from the finish of the rest of the wing so I covered them with tape and pained the tape. I covered them with cloth tape rather than a vinyl tape because I figured paint wouldn't stick very well to vinyl tape. The paint I used was Testor's Model Master acrylic paint. You want #4778 or 2078 (seems like there are two numbers associated with this color) and it's Hellblau RLM 65. This is a perfect match for the underside of the Ta-152. This color is listed by Testors as one of their WWII German Luftwaffe colors and obviously FlightLineRC used the authentic colors on the TA-152. Overall, as usual, FlightLineRC did a great job with this plane as with their other planes (I also have their Sea Fury). Hope my review helps!

Purchased this beautiful Fw 190-D ( Ta 152H ) ( Kurt Tank designer builder.) I Have quite a few WARBIRDS in my hanger, but this plane takes the cake. This Fw 152H flies beautifully ! Landings are a breeze ,even if you are a Cadet pilot. This aircraft stole the show the last time i was on the flight-line .Maneuvers very well at all altitudes and just add a little throttle on windy days. This is one of my best flyers and with good balance. You can't go wrong with this aircraft !

I bought the FW Ta-152 and it is a beautiful plane. However, there are large, open area's on the bottom of the wings where the servo's go. (Aileron's, flap's, etc). To remedy this I purchased the FMS Stuka decal sheet which has the tape to cover the servo wires on that plane. The Focke Wulf does not have tape available to cover it's wires. I bought a bottle of Model Master RLM 76 (2086) paint which is a very close match to the blue underside of the FW Ta-152. I used my airbrush to paint the tape. Problem resolved. Looks much better and the insignia fits, and looks like it should. Plus there is plenty of tape leftover for repairs on this plane and other.

I have a lot of foamies and up until this one the stregga was my favorite. The TA-152 is now my favorite. It flies great, easy to take-off and almost lands its self. I fly mine with a 3600mah lipo from motion and its great. It is a little nose heavy but i tend to fly all my planes that way as i find they track better. If you are thinking about buying this plane don't hesitate as you will not be disappointed.

This plane is absolutely beautiful. The foam is very smooth, everything went together and functioned flawlessly from the box. My issue was taking off from our grass runway. It has a quite a tendency to nose over and getting into the air was a challenge. Once up, it flies so nicely and I loved the speed and grace of this beauty. It has a wonderful swoosh sound as it passes by. I had trouble landing too with the plane ending up on its back bruising the tail each time. At present, I have not been able to fix my take-offs or landings to keep it from nosing over. But I am still giving it 5 stars because the flying is so good. ~Tom
