This really is a beautiful plane: The first complaint is that a good amount of paint pealed away from the hatch opening while I was putting the electronics in. It looks like there was no primer and the paint just didn’t stick. The other issue is with the decals. They don’t stick very well even after cleaning the plane with soap and water before trying to stick them on. I tried heating them with a hair dryer, they stuck much better but popcorned the foam a little. as for the flight it flys very nice

1. The wing screws broke! I simply screwed them in, then unscrewed them to see if I could fix another problem. But two of them Broke!?2. The elevator pushrod is too short by 2 inches. I have no idea of what to do about that.3. Some of the propellor screws don't go all the way into the hub. So what should I do?4. Where do you put the gyro receiver? It has to go in a certain way or it will not work. The instructions don't mention this. Thanks

Nice plane, wings and tail feather are a very tight so caution when building. Plane is built really well ,very solid. My only complaint is the common one, hard to use decals .I think I had more time putting them on then building the plane. It really is a shame because the kit is so nice and the decals are sh#t. Reading the reviews it's been this way for a long time. I did read about the problems before my purchase but most were really old ,so I was hoping Motion had improved them by now,not like them to neglect a problem. Waiting for warmth to maiden.

Put plane together all went well, but installing decals was impossible to get off the paper and onto the plane. They fell apart, stuck together, so plane looked like crap. Then the paint started to come off in big spots. So I had to repaint the hole plane. Would not buy another Motion plane if I have to install decals.

Before I ever put this plane in the air, I got some decals from Callie Graphics and used those instead of the ones that came with the plane. This is my fifth FlightLine plane and for the most part their decals are rather poor. Their planes are great, decals, not so much so. Next, I put two clear gloss coats of Minwax polycrylic water based finish on the plane. I brushed it on with a fine bristle brush. The glossy finish is soooo much nicer than the flat coat of paint that comes on the Bearcat. Absolutely worth taking the time to have a glossy finish on the Bearcat, because that’s what the real one had. I also pulled and painted the landing gear and wheels a gloss dark blue to match the rest of the plane. Next, to get the correct CG, I added 3 ounces of weight to the inside of the dummy cylinders of the radial engine. I run an Admiral 4S 3600 battery in it (gives me 7 minutes of flight time) and the CG was spot on with that battery and weight combo. As for a receiver, I use the Admiral RX600SP receiver/gyro combo, as I do in all my FlightLine planes. For mounting purposes, there is a flat 1” area just past the battery mounting tray. I cut and then glued down a piece of thin plywood (about 1/16”) to mount the receiver on to the plywood base. Makes for a good mount of the receiver/gyro unit and gives easy access to make gyro adjustments. As far as flight characteristic, the Bearcat is a solid flying plane. I didn’t experience any weird flight tendencies with it. I did put in the higher performing motor (880kV) that MotionRC sells for this plane, and kept this scale prop and stock 60amp esc. I’ve done this with several of my FlightLine planes, while keeping the scale props and esc’s. I don’t fly the planes constantly at full throttle, but short blasts of speed here and there. Never had a motor burn out or esc issue, but nice to have the extra power. Landings were uneventful. At half flaps I have no mix in with the elevator and the plane does not flair up or down. I do use a flap delay of 10 seconds with the flaps. On final I go to full flaps and have a 5% up elevator mix which seems perfect. Plane comes in with no flaring up or down. Overall, the Bearcat is another great FlightLine plane! Hope my review helps!

Great fit and finish, very scale and a nice competitor in the 1100mm warbird category. Like the fact that not likely to see another one ar the flying field.
