“This was a very good build with excellent fitting parts and finish. The instructions are a little confusing because of all the extra details for putting a kit together. Of course this is a PNP and not a kit. You just have to jump to the steps associated with putting the parts of the airframe together. The wireing takes a little time as the instructions lacked some details that would be helpful regarding what side of the control board to use for the LG landing gear and GD gear doors as marked on the control board. Now the good stuff, this plane flies excellent. It flies with authority, and is quick. It’s presents in the air and on the ground turns heads. I upgraded the main gear with trailing link from a 80mm Avanti. It is not scale but the tires are the same size it sure works good on rough landing fields. All I had to do was use 4mm spring steel for new pins as I did not want to alter the stock gear. When the upgrade nose gear is back in stock I will order it to complete my landing gear . I am running 5000mah 5 cell battery with a 2-1 XT60 adapter. It pulls 82 amps at full throttle, which is only 41 amps per esc and motor.”

“Hey, Michael Kranitz here from RCPilot.com. I purchased the P-38 and flew it in Denver, CO. FlightLine makes a very nice P-38 and you will not be disappointed in the build or overall quality. Be prepared for sharp roll action and some stall stuff at low speed as you would with any P-38. Otherwise, great flight times and a solid airframe.”

“This was my 2nd P-38, and both are very good models. The biggest challenge was the wiring and getting everything to work properly. It took a lot of patience and time, but finally got it. I had to open up the right hand fuselage to fish out the wires for the rudder and elevator which were down inside ,a problem that I didn't have with the first P-38. I like the way the landing light comes on when the landing gear comes down. Very realistic.”

“Kit is almost complete. Only real issue is light on the leading edge of the right wing is missing. No cut out, no light. Will need one or two extensions for wiring servos.Would love to see this as an ARF in Basa!Note: Please send a right wing. Thanks, Joe”

“The wiring was an extreme challenge as the instructions are vague to say the least and one of the ribbon wires had a wire loose from the solder connection that was promptly replaced by MRC. I’m still concerned about the quality of the other ribbon wire as you can’t inspect the connections under the shrink insulation. Elevator servo connection was pulled into the fuselage so needed to fish that out. This is my first flightline model and although it aesthetically looks nice it will likely be the last.”

“Very nice model, flies very well, fast and nimble. Definitely an intermediate to advanced level plane. All the features, lights, flaps, retracts make assembly more complicated. Upgraded landing gear to shock absorbing struts.”

“I bought this as a replacment for the one i crashed. It flys so well I forgot how heavy it was and stalled it turning in for final. Its a great plane! Very stable and Flys like a twin engine plane should.I highlyrecomend this plane for lightning fans, its not an aerobat, just a Good handing plane.”
