FlightLine F7F-3 Tigercat 1600mm (63") Wingspan - PNP Reviews

4.8 Rating 191 Reviews
Awesome quality of the parts!! The optional landing gear set is a work of art. Can't wait to build mine and fly it off our grass field. The quality and flight performance of my FL F8F Bearcat sold me on the F7F-3 Tigercat. I would like to see Motion RC come out the Grumman twin engine S2F-1 Tracker in the 1600mm series in the NAVY version also.

Hi, this is and update.......Today I maiden my F7F using the 2500 batt, wind speed was about 10Km/h. CG was right on at 73 mm with the wheels UP and, 65 mm with the wheels DOWN. Batteries where placed right at the center of each wood tray. I did not found any noticeable change of CG when deploying or retracting the landing gears. I Had the plane in the air for about 6 minutes at 75-80% throttle (fast enough for me), including three take off and landings to adjust the flaps-elevator mix. Take off flaps: 10% elevator down; landing flaps: 15% elevator down. I found that, using the recommended manual flaps/elevator mix, the plane will nose down too much. The Flightline F7F, it flies like a trainer; I would go as far as to compare it to the e-flite Timber. It is very predictable and stable in the air and, landings are very scale, slow and smooth.

The best plane I've ever had and build. The quality and craftsmanship on this model is outstanding. Easy to build, great instructions and beautiful looking bird. Can't wait to get it in the sky!

I have seen one fly at my AMA flying site. Great looking airplane. I will build mine this winter and be ready in the spring to fly it. I can't open the box before Santa Clause gives it to me for Christmas. I have looked at the veidos that Motion RC has on the Web.

When this plane came out I was on the pre-order list, I was super excited to get it. I got the plane on November 23rd and then it sat unassembled until last July or August, I finally got it assembled and the graphics from Callie Graphics applied. Then it sat some more while I built and flew other planes. I finally got it out to the field last night for the maiden flight.Wow, what a fantastic flying plane! I'm mad at myself for not getting this in they air before now. We've got maybe 30 - 45 days (in Iowa) before it gets cold and I stop flying until April.I needed a lot of right aileron trim to get it to fly level, I'll need to check my flaps and ailerons again to make sure they are centered properly but otherwise the plane flew great! I'm using a pair of Admiral 3600mAh 4 Cell batteries. This gave me 5 minutes of mostly full throttle flying. I checked the batteries after I landed and the cells were close to 3.9 volts, next flight I'll set the timer to 6 minutes.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU36D2YC-eM
