“Buy this plane only if you want to have fun ! This plane flies perfect , no bad habits , Motion RC customer service is outstanding , Fast shipment , Have fun .”
“well its a beautiful plane. couple issues the flap control rods extremely short, like 1/2 inch short some guys say just use sub trim . I just went with new 2 56 rods with metal clevis that way I had full control throw without putting strain on the servo. 2nd thing is if you have the new 4s 3600 admiral batts u will have to carve up the bottom side of the canopy for it to sit right. they are just a bit to tall. I had to use 2oz of weight in the very front of the nose to make up for the fact that I could not slide battery all the way forward in the top bay. other than those 2 little bitty things the planes flies awesome. I went with the g162 marine decals really easy to see in the air with the yellow.. I might get the upgrade lg but I fly off a vn paved runway so I might wait on those. I do have one suggestion when u put it together run the power leads to the bottom of the pc board I thinks it to cramped up top for them. just my 2 cents works either way.. would of gave 5 stars if they fixed the flap rod lengths(they had 8 months to fix the issue).”
“This really is a fantastic plane, very well designed and flies great, very good deal for the money. I bought it about 3 weeks ago and have been flying it almost everyday for the last two weeks. Plane is very solid feeling in the air, really no bad tendencies. I was somewhat surprised at how efficient it is with lipos, I am using two 2700 which get about 5 minutes and two 3700 which get about 8 minutes, lipos barely get warm. I think the airspeed and climb are just right for this type of plane, and I am usually a speed junkie. One trick I used on it was to mix a little rudder into ailerons to get a faster roll rate. I also have 7% down elevator with flaps. I saw some guys were talking about trim changes with gear up or down, I trim my planes with gear up so don't really feel much of a difference. Landings are very easy with or without flaps, although flaps definitely help when there is no headwind. One maneuver I was practicing this morning was to come downwind full throttle about 3 feet down the runway, pull up about 45 degrees at the end of runway and do a slow roll while climbing into a split S. When plane gets inverted and starting to come down hill, cut throttle, drop gear/flaps and land or do touch and go.”
“Very stable and very easy to land. I would say from all airplanes I have, this one is the most predictable to land. The servos are excellent. This is the only airplane I have that has servos that do not make any buzzing noise when throw is at neutral or at maximum. I am tempted to by these servos and install in my other airplanes. Manual is not much help when it comes to building the airplane, but we all know how to assemble this airplane. I can not think of anything that should be done differently on this airplane, and I am an engineer. Maybe shock absorbing landing gear. The regular landing gear however works very well. Very happy with quality of this airplane.”
“Model arrived 3 days after ordering, went together without too much of a hitch, just remember to get those wires out of the way when attaching the engine nacelles. The airplane is very nice, very well engineered with the wiring harnesses being the only things you need to plug in followed by plugging in the preinstalled wires into your receiver. I love the fact you get different livery options to go with, I mixed mine just a bit to add the yellow decal on the top to make the dark blue stand out a little more to get oriented. It has such a commanding presence at the field and got a lot of compliments on it, pretty sure I sold three more for motion last weekend. The aircraft flies very well, tracks straight and handled our grass runway with no problems WITHOUT the upgraded gear. I love keeping it low and watching that gear slowly go up with the gear doors closing! I didnt have issues in flight deploying flaps and having it balloon, likely because I usually slow down before deployment and have my radio set to deploy the flaps over a couple seconds. It has a little bit of weight with it so small turbulence and wind doesnt bounce this big cat around at all. Its beautiful. My only criticisms are - the flap pushrods could be longer, I had to pull all the servos and reset the control arms to use the rods given in the kit. The wires I was supposed to connect to my Spektrum receiver just would not go in given they are perfectly square and ever so slightly too large so I had to buy extenders from the local hobby shop to make it work. Lastly, the wings are ever so slightly out of alignment, the right wing is slightly further away from the fuselage than the left which you dont notice unless you are up close but I cant do anything about it because its bolted into a box thats glued into the fuselage and thats just where the wing mounting screws have to go. These are all little things but things I hadnt had to deal with putting together other PNP models. That said, go get one, you will not be disappointed. Im the only one at my field with one for now so Ill probably have to get the Sea Fury next just to be different. Im amazed at the engineering, scale features, and how stable this model flies. 4 flights on her last weekend and hopefully many more to come.”
“Maiden Flight today on the tigercat WOW what a Great flying airplane 2 clicks of right and it flew straight and level with a 10 mph wind MRC you out did yourself”
“Last review after just receiving model. T he weather kept me from test flying. Took it to the field excellent flying weather. Man it is definately a five star. Did not have to set any trim it flew streight and level as was out of box and assembled. It's performance is definatly outstanding. I am recommending it, all pro no con to this one, keep up the good work .”
